this issue starts about five months ago, my my macbook was suffering from terrible lag while browsing finder folders and revealing file lists.

i tried almost everything, and what ended up working was just to make a new log-in, right?

right.

so i named the new computer log-in Deadzombie.

and abandoned the Kwesi one.

I thought, it's just the name that the computer knows you as, so no real big del. I just needed it to be distinct from the first. And I don't like Kwesi 2, i was sort of just testing out the solution whatever: http://seemenomore.net/images/computerusername.png

so my new issue is that while on microsoft office for mac - outlook (which is a sweet piece of software by the way: https://products.office.com/en-us/mac/microsoft-office-for-mac) likes to identify me as this, deadzombie, in emails.

but not all the time. it's sporadic.

So im sending work emails, and randomly i'm identified to the other party as deadzombie.

a coworker mentioned it. i told them my computer name keeps coming through bla bla bla and I still can't imagine what they think of me.

they must think im into some really goofed-out shit. or that im depressed, even.

either way, how unprofessional is THAT shit?

anyone have any experience with this software? i've checked settings and all. no mention of deadzombie of a choice of name that's now filled with my actual name.

but it seems like the only solution is to rename this account. and im not really trying to do that.

i guess, alternatively, has anyone done an account name change successfully?

it maybe pulling your organization name from your computer and that is coming through.

on another note: i need to start using outlook on my computer...i use it for my phone and love it.... but use gmail in the browser for email

outlook is using your computer login as a credential somehow I believe....
or just rename you Mac login maybe?

The finder issue is something i'm starting to experience myself. I thought it was related to my use of Parallels though....it only happens when i've altered files while accessing them from the Windows File Explorer in Parallels....

but i think we're onto something.

that I had trouble deading my FLUIDJ Xbox & Microsoft accounts when I wanted to just stick with my more professional sounding microsoft login credentials.

but i cringe everytime i notice i've replied as deadzombie.

I didn't know that renaming it erases all your preferences though....let me check on that now...gotta be another way....
