where there may be more people, but you can't really see their faces. Some may be more comfortable on a closed set. Either way, it's not as simple as he/she's an actor. So, they should be fine. There are actors who still get stage fright every time they perform. You can believe me or not, but if you talk to actors, you'll find that their motivations and triggers range widely from person to person.

we're back at about 2. which means we start about 2:20. we kiss again. now they want me to throw her onto the bed. but she's not comfortable w/that b/c she thinks the camera can see up her skirt. so she wants a different shot. so now she's meeting w/the director about it. damn. okay, it's about 4:15 ...shit. another union break. now it's 5pm. she and the director figured out how we can get her on the bed in a way that works for the shot. so we start again at the kiss. i laughed about having eaten onions at lunch. she didn't think that's funny. i apologize. it's like 5:15. i kiss her and throw her on the bed. but she bounced more than we'd thought. so i had to do it again. this time she basically threw herself. but the bed made more noise than the director wants. so now they're trying to find another bed, maybe? it's about 6pm. more waiting. they can rig the bed so it doesn't squeak when she hits it. they finish at 7:15. i'm about to lose my fucking mind. i need a break. but i gotta get through this. we're supposed to end at 8 today. okay...it's like 7:30. we start again. she's on the bed. i get on top. but then she giggles. so we do it again. damn. i put my arm under head when it was supposed to go under the pillow. one more time. it was all good except my foot ended up in the shot. so we do it again. foot again. maybe they need to move the camera? at first. if all goes smoothly you do like one or 2 takes and you can keep that focus - that energy. b/c if the scene is worked too many times that energy might be lost.
the stuff you're talking about won't happen on the set during the shooting of the scene. it might happen off-set during breaks if the actors involve are interested in each other.
