so, last January I did a month long residency at the Ace Hotel. I picked a theme highlighting different regions/cities whose music I dug. each week I picked a different place and only dude music from that area. i called it Sound Travels, after my tumblr (http://djtara.tumblr.com) it was fun!

so they asked me to come back to spin!

this time, I'm spinning every Wednesday night - 5 weeks! I'm probably going to encore some of the Sound Travels (UK, Detroit, and the New York one I couldn't do because of snow), but tonight i'm just playing jams i like. some new stuff i don't get to spin a lot since my Tuesday nights are mostly old funk and soul.

i've had so much fun. not many places tell you to 'get weird'

granted i don't get too weird but being able to try out new stuff in a space is great
