Scott Storch -- the famed music producer who produced tracks for Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and a slew of others -- was worth $70 million. Now he's got a hundred dollars cash.
Storch filed for bankruptcy claiming he has a grand total of $3,600 of assets to his name -- $100 in cash, $500 in clothing and a $3k watch. Most shocking ... his music companies are valued at $0.
Storch produced some of the biggest records in music history, including Timberlake's "Cry Me a River" and Aguilera's "Fighter."
He claims in bankruptcy docs he made a grand total of $10,000 last year.
As for how Storch lost his money, he reportedly blew through $30 mil in a 6 month span on drugs.
He also spent a fortune on cars, houses and other extravagances.

I mean, Lean back was that shit, and he was still on fire in 05...but it felt like the day after this article dropped, his beats started to fall off. By 07, he was almost out of the game.
I actually thought he would have a long career before seeing that he was an idiot...he was trained to be way more musical than what he showed on his simple tracks, but that formula he had in 04-05 was perfect for radio and the club.

the jet cost what he ran through to get to his first bankruptcy ($30 million) alone probably, especially factoring in the six-figure expense of each trip overseas in that bitch. and yeah flashy jewelry, seven-figure sports cars. this guy was rich but he was living like he was super rich. the guys he was spending with were worth literally 100 times what he was in a lot of cases. i remember him bragging about his car and he said he thought ralph lauren "beat him to it" as one of the first people to own one. ralph lauren is worth several billion dollars.

Bankruptcy is for reorganization/protection of assets.
Everyone lies on the attestation. Easiest way to say you have no money is to say you blew it on drugs. Meanwhile, the true cash on hand that you have, your cars, real estate, money you have invested in other ventures that are likely not in your own name or under a shell corp etc are generally protected.
Live through the bad press- come out with less creditors and liability.
If you have no job or verifiable income, you can usually file Chapter 7 and not even have to reorganize or repay debtors under a repayment schedule.
It's been done a gazillion times..why ppl bat an eyelash when someone does this is beyond me..It's predictable, even.
