I never thought Tony Rock was funny but I saw a video of him saying how opened up for Charlie Murphy on a comedy tour they did together and that Charlie Murphy complained to the promoter that Rock was basically upstaging him...

To me, Murphy is hilarious in sketch comedy (and telling stories) but I've never paid any attention to his stand-up

The only reason Charlie Murphy's doing shows is because of the story segments on Chaeppelle show - he's not a comedian.

That being said, if you found the stories funny (they were) and he plays the comedy club near you it might be worth a trip to see him.

I think he'd be a better monologist than comedian.

He'd of won if it was "Who's funnier Jordan Rock or Charlie Murphy?"
