I'd suspect they are torn between a strong desire to hate and nagging sense of guilt that will not go away.
Either way, I will not fret about evil being evil. I will rejoice in God being God. I pray that when I leave this earth I am either in a church or public place giving praise to God. I don't want to fret, I want to praise.
I know we don't battle against flesh and blood. People are making themselves open to accept evil spirits into their human beings and allowing themselves over to it.
I am working daily to reject those spirit and fill those places with love.
I don't always "win" at that, but each day I am blessed with new mercies to start again and move forward, keeping my eyes on the real prize.

I was waiting in line to be rung up at a store, cashier was black, in front of me a a white man with his 4 to 6 year old child. When the cashier picked up the items to ring them up the child starting crying and said "daddy!! Shes touching it, shes touching it" the Dad replied "Its ok we will clean it off later"
Shit just blew me away..
