In Cheikh Anta Diop's "The African Origin of Civilization: Myth or Reality", he points out Egyptian glyphs that separate man by "race", if you will, placing them according to their closeness to Divinity. The Egyptian, obviously, was closest to the Divine, with the Nubian African next, the Asian and others, then finally the white man which was, IIRC, depicted as a barbarian of sorts and furthest away from the Divine.

He was using the contemporary western language to make claims that combat the removal of Dark Skin people aka Black People from Egyptian History. I was gonna make a post about against transfolks in sports a few days ago in one of them threads, but then I fell down the rabbit hole when reading on how the hormones they take significantly alters their muscle composition (diminishing it in MTF trans, increasing it in FTM trans) and how all that played into the IOC's and other regulating bodies decisions and whatnot.

As long as they stick to loading their bodies with hormones, the "edge" we think they would have decreases to the point where it no longer exists, and could even hinder their performance in the case of MTF trans.

Prisons are trickier. A trans person that has not undergone full sex reassessment surgery probably shouldn't be placed in a prison of their assumed sex. There's a shitload of transmen that still like getting fucked by men and plenty of transwomen that will lay pipe to a broad in a heartbeat and there's no way to tell who is gonna do what.

The question then becomes... what do you do with them?

The potential for something like this was actually brought up as a counter-argument 2 or 3 months ago when the Bruce Jenner thing was really picking up steam. But, as with most examples of cognitive dissonance, that possibility was dismissed.

But I get it and I actually respect why some people are going to twist themselves into knots to differentiate these two situations.

With alot of the the smashing of traditional norms over the last 50 or 60 years (interracial marriage, same-sex marriage, fluidity of gender, and now this) the classic counter-argument has been "slippery slope".

I.e., same-sex marriage --->>> a man marrying a kangaroo, or something like that. So people have become really sensitive to that accusation.

This is a situation where the slippery slope really is slippery, and therefore this has to be combated, or so the thinking goes.

I really don't know if this will "hold", or if it will be defeated, though, meaning, I can't tell yet if we'll collectively settle on the idea that open transracialism is legitimate or not. It's still very early.

There are light skinned black men and women, of course, who have passed for hundreds of years. This is something white Americans have viewed as an offensive affront and black Americans have viewed as an act of self-hatred or shame. There are elements of this, running in reverse of course, with Rachel Dolezal, but there'd be far less humor and memeing going on if she were a lightskinned black woman discovered passing.

Something like "transracial" is not outside of the realm of existence, but it'll take many years of sociopolitical evolution to be considered a full-on option.
