"Summer Fashion Post"
Thu Jun-11-15 10:56 AM by Tony Sparks

GQ and Wooster say this is summer of the slip-on aka Vans and espadrilles

What are you wearing or looking to cop or recently copped?

Still wearing mandals and jorts?

Gladiator sandals on ladies still invading our eyes?

I will not wear jeans in temperatures over 75 degrees anymore. Shorts, or lightweight cotton pants.

I've got a lightweight pair of AGs that I will throw on from time to time but my white pair of Lucky Brand jeans will be worn ad nauseum this summer.

With loafers... With sneakers... With flip flops...With t-shirts, polos, the infamous "button up" (LMAO), or sweaters.

can't go wrong with Adidas Stan Smith or Converse Jack Purcell

Greats is killing it right now http://greats.com

Now if you're talking shoes, Cole Haan's Lunar Grand or ZeroGrands are stylish & light not clunky

even if it contradicts what they were paid to say last month.
Most Men's Magazines are no better than Cosmo, at the end of the day.

That said, I bought my first pair of sneaks in years and have been wearing them everywhere.

Anyone know where to cop a good slim/fitted v-neck shirt (not an undershirt)?

I've been considering a pair of checkerboard Vans just cuz I wanted a pair when I was 13. Saw some yellow espadrilles on Mr. Porter yesterday that I'm also considering. I wouldn't wear them much but they'd be nice to have when hitting the streets on the weekend.

Recently copped these at J. Crew on their clearance rack for like $60 if I recall correctly. It wasn't more than that though. They were already marked down by 50%. Then, I got them to add my student discount of 15%.

I also copped a couple pairs (Black canvas pair and white leather pair) of Purcells. The white leather ones looked pretty damned spiffy with a recently copped blue chambray colored linen suit I wore to a birthday party last week.
