"has the value of 'common sense' decreased?"

should it be revisited?

we're reading story after story of a world full of people with 'common sense'.

but clearly there's some sense missing still.

has 'common sense' become a false argument?

when in the world did people have this 'common sense' that seems to be taken for granted?

Common sense is a widely held belief that is validated and reinforced by the sheer number of people that repeat it rather than its veracity.

The world is flat, because just about everybody says it is, until someone actually proves it isn't.

Beliefs are challenged and torn down more quickly in this age than any previously, so common sense has a much shorter shelf-life.

what's the value of its existence?

it's never been universal.

usually culture-specific.

it's nothing really.

I feel like it only appears in the form of metaphorically tone-deaf response.

as it should.

common sense, as is used, does not exist.

it's hardly even a measurement.
