What do you miss about the old NYC that most transplants and outsiders would hate?

I honestly preferred Times Square seedy. Video arcades and peepshows on the same block.

but I can live with the trade off that is the hood being fixed up

when Colombians ran the Roosevelt Avenue corridor from 74th all the way to around 103rd.
Lots more but I miss that the most
esp when I remember that oblea ladies used to be found on every corner the same way these taco trucks run the streets now.
