"anyone here watch Daredevil?" Wed May-27-15 03:16 PM by initiationofplato
I'm on the fence about this show. On one hand, it can be entertaining, but if I try to take it seriously, the overwhelming amount of cliche's and predictable plot lines leaves me feeling a bit underwhelmed.
Do you agree that this is the best show on television right now?

i loved it out the gate but took a nice long break after the first few eps bc my Netflix got cut off but i binged it in like 2 days once it got turned back on.
love it, mad it was only 13 eps lol.

the acting, the characters, the messages about morality and human nature, all of it...great great GREAT show
and FWIW i'm getting weary of folks criticizing COMIC BOOK BASED SHOWS for their lack of realism
it's irksome enough with the Walking Dead but now we're into superheroes and folks are still on some "but it's just unrealistic and unbelievable..." yeah...kinda the whole point...

i'm not on the "it's not realistic" bandwagon, i just find the whole Russian bad guys, ego-maniacal king pin, people unable to piece it together thing kinda irksome, but if i remove myself from that mindset, it's a fun little show.

stock villains and all...
and i really really thought D'Onofrio's performance was GREAT and the dude that played his right hand man was really dope to me too...
all these villains, from what i gather (i'm a comics newb) are established villains in Daredevil/Marvel
i feel like Daredevil is damn near the blue collar Marvel version of Batman anyway, and i'm a Batstan so that probably helps too, clearly very influenced by Nolan's DK trilogy.
