If you've ever wished you could post up on a mountaintop forever, then meet your new home.

Ecocapsule is a tiny, 86 square-foot living capsule that, as soon as next year, will enable owners to live virtually anywhere. Each mobile pod comes with sleeping space for two, a mini kitchen, a fully functional toilet and shower, storage space, a desk and two windows.

The pods, which are currently in pre-production, harvest rainwater and remove bacteria all on their own, while powering themselves with sun and wind. The capsule's battery can also charge electric cars, Gizmodo reports, making the location possibilities breathtakingly endless -- from beaches to jungles to wide-open prairies.

Pricing for the Ecocapsules is not yet available, but Slovakia-based Nice Architects do know that shipping the pods to the U.S. will not be cheap -- it's estimated to cost about $2,400 to have a pod shipped to New York City.

Or you could just skip all the kerfuffle and build your own wooden cabin. Ahh, the great outdoors.

Laws against structures without permits.

Laws against structures that small.

Laws against structures/RVs in parking lots, parks, and recreational areas.

Laws against collecting rainwater.

Basically laws against the poor and those who dont want to consume themselves into debt slavery.

That's not practical. If you want to live off the grid, chances are, you don't want to invest in a truck and trailer to haul that thing up a mountain.

And once it's where you need it, then be done with it. And if that's not good enough then buy a tent and walk...lol

Let's say you get sick of your mountain top 2 weeks later, you are going to be stuck hauling around a little house, lol. Do you really think people are going to be delivering your little pod into remote places with no cell phone signal, think about it. The idea is cool, but it won't work unless you plan to stay somewhere for a long time or are in reach of roads, which defeats the purpose of going off the grid.

Tornadoes will love these things.. Need something to break up that perfect been shape, otherwise these things will roll away far too easily.
