Every day I get an offer from some airline or hotel not telling me about their products but offering to extend credit to me. I don't get it, the offer, and additionally why should I trust them as a financially viable credit institution.

the company has a deal with an actual banksame with gas cards, car manufacturer cards, etc
the hotel is probably not giving you credit.
