Sidebar: I did once have a FOINE female cop pull me over once for speeding. Had to let her go after a few dates and some utterly insane sex sessions. Turned out she was pretty much a batshit insane megalomaniac. After her and one more female cop I dated plus run-ins with a few more I've pretty much figured that the prettier a cop is, the more she's liable to abuse her authority. The chicks that looked like they could bench press an Eldorado with her neck were almost always the coolest.
... I guess I wrote all of that to say that I could really see a fine female cop being in the middle of an abuse/murder.

by stating "chesters", you're kinda singling out the male teachers that have sex with their students.
Female teachers that have sex with their students have a history of getting far lighter sentences than their male counterparts. I've seen some getting just probation and some getting a few years in prison. Some didn't even have to register as a sex offender.

From the 8th grade through my senior year I can count 7 teachers that woulda caught it if they came at me like that. There's an 8th teacher that I think WAS trying to hint at it on the sly in the 8th and 9th grade (the computer lab teacher) but maybe she was just being a little overly friendly to the one kid in the school that actually gave a fuck about computers in a serious manner.

i teach high school art off slauson and just spent a whole unit on making art in response to police brutality in connection to watts 65, LA 92 and today's related uprisings and it's no contest. i also deal with...nevermind haha
i came to teaching after the photo hustle/industry and a short/incomplete time in grad school (which ended up being great for me to prep for art education). and for me as a cultural educator who also has the unionized benefits earned after years and battles to go with my own curriculum and vision i am hella fortunate to be able to hold this spot down in LA's system. i'll be thanking myself once again while in cuba, thailand and the philippines for two months of summer. best of luck on your process and decision.

i don't want to be a teacher tho, thinking about high school counseling. if i did teach, I'd be a PE teacher. teacher salary and you don't have to grade papers. plus i can get my workout in and apply for asst. coaching jobs and get that extra stipend lol.

i'm a single male with no kids. we're under different scrutiny working with teens, especially around girls. i worked at all levels of juvenile institutions in the county i live in. the school district (within that county) i work at now has 2 high schools & 1 continuation school. i've worked at 2 of those sites, graduated from the 3rd one.
i don't really talk about these issues with coworkers at the high school level cuz it's taboo.

i kinda figured asking those questions you were a teacher or something..we need more dope people working with the youth...you prolly see alot more of these student/teacher issues than most of us who jus see it on the news etc...i'm always quick to give props to educators being that i worked as a sub in LAUSD for a few mos when i first came to LA in 92..
