I've tried not to get my hopes up about rappers on Bill Maher's show after Mos Def's appearance, but I was looking forward to this. And it didn't disappoint.

I hadn't seen this before. Mos was begging for mercy and Hitchens wasn't offering any up. I'd probly leave the country after that too.

it all started with mos asking a question. He said I don't know...since when is saying I don't know a shameful act

furthermore mos has been on bill show numerous times before and done it well.

lastly the mos/hitchens beef started in a previous show they were both on which mos alluded toin overtime.

but Hitchens says 'I heard you say that Osama Bin Laden was a fabrication of the CIA'. I'm guessing it was on the previous overtime session that you mentioned? But Mos doesn't deny saying it. And let's face it.....a lot of people were saying shit like that at the time.

I love Most Definitely.....but you can tell he's trying to establish some wiggle room in 'overstanding' the US politricks with that 'question' he's asking. Hitchens smelled blood and went for it. Then Mos tries to pull out 'where I'm from' as some sort of get outta jail free card and that only emboldens Hitchens. Mos also tries the 'I'm brave enough to have a unique position' to which Hitchens lands a haymaker saying 'And we await the articulation of that position'. Then he straight-up calls him dumb while Mos is saying 'But please, Mr Hitchens......'

Watches like a massacre to me.

I wonder if he had been sitting, waiting to find a place to use that or if he just came up with that off the dome.
