Mom's died in Jan 96 - so things ain't been the same ever since. Both paternal grandmother's are dead. And my baby mother is person that's hard to be cordial towards, yet for 14 years I treated her well on Mother's Day so that my son could have a good time showing his love. But now that he's 18 with a job, so he can do that himself.

not sure if i'll be in the mood to go out with my wife & MIL. not sure if i'll take the time to wish a happy Mother's Day to all the great mothers i know.
i may try to act normal or i may just spend the day alone in my thoughts & feelings...

Whatever you do, don't deny your feelings, but please don't go it alone. Spend time with your Wife and celebrate her. She will understand how you feel about your mom, but don't deny her to feel your appreciation for her as a mother too - if you have children. Don't let the emotion take you down a long path that you don't have to travel. Keep it up beat and live in the life of NOW.

my mother died in 2001 so i haven't really "CELEBRATED" mothers day like that until i had a child of my own and people started telling ME happy mother's day and giving me cards and gifts. its odd. i honestly forget that the day is for me too. i think i'll get more used to it once my son is older and is able to wish me happy mothers day in his own special ways.
this year i have no plans. might go to my aunts house which is the usual go to altho last year me and my sister and her family just spent it over here chilling. we'll see.

mine lives near me, so I'll just have put some more thought into it. prollem is timing. my mom normally works sundays and just having to work around various schedules makes it tricky.
