You don't want someone who is gonna baby you and your idea. You don't want to have an investor who is too nice who cant get deals done for your company.
You want people to tell you when your idea is bad......when its actually bad. Not to say he's right on every idea EVERY time. I def disagree with some of the decisions he makes or comments as far as ceiling or potential of a idea. As much as you don't want to be bullied in that situation its how you handle and talk back to those kinds of people (yet still make the deal work if its the right deal) that shows a lot of character and what you can do as a business man.

i don't watch the show and had never heard of dude, but this incident was on my news feed a few times for discussion. seems like case was doing that as well. he hadn't given his opinion in the original post though. people are acting like he did and i cant understand why.

I don't know that HE'S not a racist. Neither do you.
I DO know that the 'cockroach' comment is used to describe a person who runs a business that can be 'squashed' by a larger corporation because he or she doesn't have anything that's proprietary or can be stolen by someone with enough money. He's said it to men, women, and children of all colors.
I know this, because I watch the show. It's cut and dry to anyone who does.

Whether or not O Leary is can't possibly be answered, certainly not from the clip or from 100 episodes of the show.
He says the cockroach comment to many people and it refers to a specific type of product or business. You watch the show, you should know that. It's pretty cut and dry.

I don't have anything to add on the O'Leary comment-- I'm white, so even though I suspect O'Leary is just being a troll per usual, it's not my place to mandate whether a word or phrase lacks racially charged intentions, and it's certainly not my place to tell people not to be offended.

Home's, if you read trough the post thread, you would see, read, and know that I never made any claims about old boy being racist. But I did point to the outrage in the comments of the link, to which proves my point a bit in the post that I made 5 days ago.
