as long as weapons are around that can be coupled with deep-seeded hatred/entitlement, doused with mass media (interference), there will always be violence.

And in the second two scenarios it seems the strong get the food and the weak go without and risk dying.
I think the 2 and 3 go against human nature and are only possible if the individuals believe in some higher power or have adopted some moral code that says starving is better than taking which, on its face, is irrational.
