if she a Harvard Grad that went to prison for some insider trading shit, that's one thing.

If she a DeVry grad w/ a murder charge or agg. assault, that's a no go.

Did they just get out of prison or did they get out 2 years ago and have been working since then?

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

plus both are more common than ppl let on. and neither has to be a big deal, really. it's not like having either is necessarily a mark on one's character. generally we create more panic about both than is actually necessary.

and plead guilty to a felony offense b/c the prosecution had good evidence though she wasn't really guilty.

or maybe she's got a felony retail theft b/c of a prior conviction.

or a felony agg batt to a cop b/c the cop fell and broke his arm while arresting her for criminal trespass.

you gonna judge her like that, huh?

wow.

It's already an extremely hypothetical question that's case by case. But as said, a GED can always go to college. And why aren't you doing the same for the GED situation? They may have had had amazing grades, but had too much going on with their family life, and had to drop off to raise their younger sibling. Who knows.

Thing is, damn near everyone I personally know with a felony (at least that I know has one) did it for something either serious that I wouldn't be cool with......OR it was White collar. And the post only specified White collar.

And even then, I didn't say "I'll NEVER in life date someone who has a felony that wasn't White collar or activism related"...I just picked the one with a GED and clean record first.

It's just too case by case. I knew a girl from Quincy (Tallahassee) who was maybe 4-5 years older, and was the finest girl in my grandma's neighborhood by faaaar. And was actually super nice, Southern Belle style. Yet, at 18, she caught a felony for transporting drugs to Jacksonville, driving them there for a dope boy she was messing with. She got out at 24-25. If a girl like this was 30+, COMPLETELY removed from that lifestyle now, and legit in most other aspects, I might give it a go.

And have the same opportunities and position in life. Same intelligence level etc. One just has a criminal record. So I pick GED. What college etc is irrelevant if they're in the same position as the person with the GED.
