I don't think you ladies realize the power you possess initiating something: friendship, courtship, etc..

Assuming you're fairly attractive and level-headed, most men aren't turning down the opportunity. Yes, even ones you think might be out of your league. Hell, most men I know will even cover the first few dates or so.

I can't count how many dates I've been on, often with women that aren't my physical ideal. But nonetheless, I give it a go cus I was flustered by their brazen initiative. that in itself is sexy as hell!!

All a woman really has to do is just make eye contact and a little flirtatious half-smile. The classic silent green light. 99% of dudes will take it from there.

No, it's not always about a guy being afraid or intimidated.

For some (like myself), it's cool to know from jump that she's a little into you. If she's approaching you, that means she's interested in talking so you don't have to try as hard to figure her out. And it's an absolute ego boost too.

Plus, I've never met a dude who solely relies on women approaching him.

i dont have a binary view of masculinity or femininity at all. of course i know that people are complex and a mix of both. that does not take away from the fact that in our society, aggressiveness is a masculine trait. if we want to encourage the status quo to reverse, we should also be ok with acknowledging that we are also encouraging women to be more masculine and men to be more feminine.
