"break down a typical date night."

yep. still talking abt money or ones lack thereof onna friday

so its a known thing one cannot have romance w/o finance...right?

if you dont take your boo or get taken out BY your boo...chances are you will soon be boo-less. & nobody wants that. right?

but. whats that avg cost?

ever added it up? i have.

off the top, $48-65 for a baby sitter. thats $12-15 an hour. for 4-5 hrs.

2 drinks. lets say they are both $7 a piece. $14.

2 meals. lets say thats $15-20, per. $30-40.

plus tip! add another $5-7

movie? $12 a ticket. $24 per.

snacks @ the movie. $15 total.

SO. for ME. my typical night out is going to cost anywhere from $136-165. depending.

and these are conservative. who gets 1 drink per when they go out? not me.

and if you go somewhere AFTER the movie? easily can drop $200.

every time you go out.

YAY! fun.

your turn.

does it really matter?

wonder what bin's doing?

She says no and that she's tired.

I grab my phone and retreat to the bathroom.

I come back 5 minutes later refreshed.

I go downstairs and start watching the early bball game.

Game's over, I go upstairs but she's still awake, watching VH1 Reality shows.

I go back downstairs and start watching the late bball game.

I hear her snoring, so I go to bed.

I wake up tomorrow and she complains that we don't go out enough.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

You don't ask your woman if she wants to go out or if she wants to have sex. The answer is always no, and if you accept that you'll be a no going anywhere no ass getting clown.

Next time you have to be like yo, we got somewhere to be at 7. Wear a dress.

If she then says no, fuck her.

Like literally. Pipe game needs fixing.

So offbreak, no babysit cost.

Or, even if we do get sitters, our kid is still in that 'cute' phase when everybody wants to keep her. Regardless, babysitting doesn't come in.

So for us:

Appetizer: 2 @ $10 a pop = $20
Dinner: 2 entrees at $20 a pop = $40
Dranks: 2 a piece @ $10 a pop = $40
Dessert: $10 - $12 a pop = $12
---------------------------------------------

'Bout $120

This is money well spent, tho. 'Cause if we don't have fun/recreate/hangout/enjoy life, we will be straight up kill each other.

She was having a bad day last Saturday. She said that she felt "overwhelmed". Put my cape on and said, "C'mon! It's yo day! Let's go grab a dozen of crabs, a few drinks, and just talk about all the other shit going on in our lives besides that which overwhelms you."

Walked out that bitch close to $200 lighter in the pockets. Nice weather don't help either cuz we could, literally, go out three to four times a week.

We're doing two this weekend. Tonight thre will be drinks at the house $20, a Netflix, and some wedding stuff.

Sunday it's low tech day for us so we signed up for a free yoga class in the morning, followed by brunch ($30), some board games, and then the national arboretum is having a plant sale, so metro and taxi ($20)

TOTAL: $65

No cost on the baby sitter...thank God. Would've been $45 @ 2 kids

Keeping it conservative in pricing. Going to Legal Seafood in Crystal City.

Parking is free on the weekend, otherwise I'd be looking at about $10

Apps 12 ea = $24

Drainks = Umma prolly have 2 1738's...$24

She'll have whatever....lets say her's amounts to $20

Meals 25-30 Ea

Plus taxes and tip...$35

Then we'll probably hit U street up (maaaaaaybe...but hopefully not)

10-15 to park (We grown now)

Atleast $ 10 for ME to get in

Drainks....another $50

But hopefully (and umma say this real low)...we won't make it past the restaurant which has been the norm, as of late. If we did the movies, that would've been beforehand. I'd be sleep in that b*tch, otherwise. That conservatively would've been 40 bucks.

Yeah...thank God for KIDS in this instance. We be TY-RED!!

It takes all kinds to make up a world, son. -My pops

Pillow talk, then sleep. He usually gets up early and orders breakfast before I get up, picks it up and brings it back. We eat, and I usually leave shortly after that.

*Dinner (mid level restaurant, including two drinks, no desert, one appetizer split) $65
*Movies (regular, not imax, one candy, one popcorn, two drinks) $50

that's about $110
Granted, you could eat somewhere else cheaper, save $20 by not drinking. Not have snacks or popcorn at the movie.
or it could be more, just by getting turnt (add $50 for 2 more drinks a piece) and going to IMAX (add $20)

*EDIT

if you add transportation
$10 (for train roundtrip two people going)
$20-30 for a car

..dinner AND a movie??

when I was dating - like had the rotation...would be either or..

typically wouldn't do a movie until after I hit.....unless it was something we both really wanted to see or something...and even then...it'd be movie then whateva-whateva afterward - usually bar

cats be doin 3 much on dates....although I used to get clowned for that...

but depending on who it was I had no problem spendin...and usually the ones I didn't mind spendin on eventually became longer terms ones...
