"Suggest a lesser known work by a well known artist"

Author, Musician, Painter...I don't care about the medium, just put someone on to something that most people don't check for.

Right now...I really wish I could find my copy of Tortilla Flat by John Steinbeck.

It isn't a perfectly crafted work, but right now I'm looking at the spring sun stream through the window while I drink rhine wine with strawberries and I can almost see the Paisanos holding court in Monterey, California

I kinda want someone to post up some music that fits the scene. Right now I'm leaning towards City, Country, City by WAR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiVrD98G750

Shirley MacLaine's first film - she's real good in it.

Very low-key but it just creates a strange feeling in a Black Comedy way.

...and not solely because I worked on it...lol.

A few nice tunes on it, definitely worth a listen.

The last album of Miles' electric period before he went on hiatus for the rest of the seventies. It's a hodge podge of stuff from different periods from 70-74 and in the process acts like an overview of that era. The opener "He Loved Him madly" is so subtle it could send you to sleep the first time you listen to it, but if you really let it play and you in a certain mood, its like watching a slow sunset, or a lover turn in their sleep. Every slight change has its drama with it.

oh the other hand, "rated X" is raucous and I don't know why no one has sampled it yet. Its a real underated album, mostly because its a messy double album.

Very good album.

Edit: I am just realizing this might not really fit the topic. Still though, good album.
