anyways...dedicated to the 319 lives taken by the police this year

+ learned a valuable lesson this week: if you cant embraces the flaws of other you can't accept your own.

+ boy is finally getting a little better after yet another cold. we're both sick but at least lil man is feeling a little better. i hope we can keep it that way for awhile.

+ got a lot of work done in the studio this week. i got a rejection letter for a residency i *really* wanted but i think it's for the best so that i can just crank out some work this year. i have a good rhythm going, i just need to see these projects through.

I learned a lot about myself and someone else by the way we both handled a major conflict. I walked away from it feeling really positive.

Looking to get into some shenanigans tonight
kicking it with some friends to grab some Uzbeki food in Brooklyn tomorrow
then more shenanigans on Sunday.

Two weeks between my arrival and departure dates and am just gonna see where the wind takes me.

I just need some time away to think and be alone and am glad that I no longer deny myself self-care. I'm proud of myself for that.

- I came across a 3-for-$10 deal for Talenti ice-cream at a local supermarket. If that doesn't make a Positive Friday, I don't know what will lol

That thought crossed my mind this morning and it felt really REALLY good.

I go to this laser hair removal place in ny..I get chemical peels and shit like that done there too (that has nothing to do with what I'm trying to say btw lol)

But yea I really love the women that work there. The owner is sooo cool and we just get along very well. Every time I go I end up staying an extra hour talking to her about any and everything....it's very refreshing

Booked another trip...this time to Kenya lol I've officially jumped the shark, but fuck it I love it...AND my friends are actually going this time so I won't be alone!!!lol hopefully I can snag some tickets to SA before they sell out

This weekend I'm going home...haven't been there in forever. I miss my nephew soooo much and my friend just had a baby that I need to see. I reconnected with one of my best friends from HS and will probably go check her out as well. Hopefully I can make it back to philly on time Sunday and get my ratchet on at this henny day party lol
