"would you really want to know exactly what people thought of you?"

imagine being able to hear those few seconds immediately following the end of a phone call. when the person you just got finished talking to makes a comment about you.

then magnify that.

all of a sudden you have the ability to get strangers first impressions of you.

and you can find out how people you know feel about you. honest, unfiltered, and uncensored. they're not worried about your feelings because they don't know that you know.

would you want that?

imma pass. you can keep that.

for those that say they'd be cool with it...why?

and serves no purpose ultimately

people hate and have horrible opinions about others that are totally baseless. why know about it? what does that serve? as much as we'd like to think that we can and do live a life where we only deal with people who like us, it doesn't work like that

and what people think of me should not dictate or change my behavior because that would mean they have some sort of influence/bearing on who i am and what i do. people can have irrational or baseless thoughts about me and i'm supposed to take that into consideration? where they do that at?

there is a balance that can be achieved there, even though those two things can be in conflict at times but that's life. y'all looking for a life cheat code. just live it.

it'd be hard to pass up.

like many others, i'm already full of assumptions about what's going on and what's not going on.

i don't understand why you'd shy away from the verification.

you afraid of what you might learn?

you'd feel too 'powerful'?

you don't think it's 'fair'?

with this knowledge

instead, you're allowing more outside factors influence your own decisions/behavior. sounds like a shitty life to have to factor in more shit that you can't control or change.

It is definitely our business what people think of us, cause their behavior reflects it.

Its such a cop out answer. I know we like to think we transcended caring about others but...

Let someone say something racist/elitist/sexist. *blankface*

I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't.

It'd be disappointing from some people, pleasantly surprising from others and totally ambivalent from most.

At least I'd know where I stand in any given situation and know how to function accordingly.

it always comes out. i think those types who force the "reveal" are part of the problem instead of just naturally interacting.

i don't have to qualify that by a time standard that doesn't truly exist. people, especially if you're observant yourself, will lift the veil at some point. do i think it's a constant thing? never. but i have had too many instances where i'm seeing right through them. people aren't opaque, even if they think they are.

you kinda can't force the reveal
people show their true selves under various circumstances
and those selves are as various as the instances
and trying to fake a circumstance won't get you your answer

but i'm big on time will tell

Let me be able to manipulate the outcome of different scenarios. I'd use this to rule the world basically on some illuminati shit.
