"Drake sure does love his crew/General Crew Love discussion "
I mean I know in general rappers love talking about how much they love their crew and what not but Drake seems a little extra about it.
Part of me think he is overcompensating a bit. On some Drake Doth Protest too much.
Like by the time Outkast started dropping tracks about how they Aquemini and going to be together forever they were probably already splintering and put out the track to squash the rumors. Or like Wu-tang forever dropping before they split up.
Funny thing is I am not ever really sure who Drake is talking about when he is showing love for his crew. OVO or young money? Is there overlap or do they not fuzz with each other? Seems to me he rarely drops names beyond 40, Wayne and Nicki.
I am just wondering because Drake dropped that last album and it seems like it was a contractual obligation and dude is going quiet and I get the feeling he is planning something new on his own and I am wondering if it involves naan people from his young money crew.
BTW, does the all time weakest crew go to Braveheart, the Commission or Lynch Mob? I know it's nice to put your boys on but sometimes crews are pure dead weight on most artist if they are around long enough eventually figure it out and seem to drop them cats.

Nas with a crew just seems wrong. I mean what the fcuk was Bravehearts? Dude is just a dolo type of artist.
J Cole seems like that too. I feel like I never once heard him shot out any sort of crew.

this is an issue that i take with a lot of people who listen to the music and try to decipher every.little.thing about it, the artist, who the artist is talking about.

moment. Sometimes I share such thoughts with people to see if the same thought crosses anyone elses mind.
If it's music related I sometimes share such thoughts with the only music nerds I interact with on a regular basis, OKP.
If no one expresses any interest in discussing the dynamics of crews, then I have my answer as to whether these thoughts cross anyone elses mind.
I doubt anyone here has any inside information into the dynamics of drakes crew or J Cole and Nas being loners so I wasn't asking to get some inside scoop. I am asking to see if anyone else thinks about the wierd shit I sometimes think about.
This is how I spend my day to blow off steam and get release from emailing co-workers about work, reading tortuously boring documents all day and taking care of my home and family at home. Some heads play video games, watch tv, read, drink, tweet, facebook or find other ways to bullshit.
Does that sufficiently answer your question?
Then I have the same question for you. Why do you care that you perceive me to care about crew dynamics?

WOE is the name of rapper Devontee's (from Whitby/Toronto) crew. It's a term he came up with. Devontee is the the cousin of Stephen Curry's wife who is from Toronto. He also produced a few joints for Pro Era rappers and Stephen Curry too.

I guess u dont believe Jimmy Johnson made up "The Six" either then. Its not that big of a deal, its just slang they made up. Drake made it popular. I don't know whats not to believe.
