"Come in and recommend 3 random things"
Mon Mar-30-15 03:33 PM by Starks dunked on Bul

It could be movies, tv shows, music, food, books, clothes, etc.

1. Orwasher's Bakery. If you're ever in NYC try their black and white cookie. Ooooh, try their coconut macaroons too. Mouthwatering treats!

2. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue For Women. This is very popular but it's irresistible.

3. Better Call Saul. So far, I like this better than Breaking Bad. Don't care don't care don't care!

vacation:

Belize(specially Caye Caulker) - it is the calmest, most scenic place to visit. Its not the beaten to death vacation. I know, everyone on is diff. If you want large resort, hotel.....go ahead to Bahamas. If you want piece of mind, and a real peaceful getaway, do this. You will feel like you are part of a neighborhood

Bicycle:

Anything Trek. Specifically, I am loving this 7.0 right now.

TV:

loving Bloodline right now. I love slowly unraveling dramas that really fine tune the details. It sticks with me as I get further into it.

An old tv show called 'jazz casual'. I'm trying to find out where I can buy every single episode.

Saunas. I got a gym membership and starting using the sauna after every workout. My skin has never been this healthy and the winter blahs were more manageable. I've realized that part of the winter blahs is never sweating anything out.

food: try lettuce wraps. you take a big ass lettuce leaf and fill it with whatever you feel like eating. it can be ground beef, diced chicken, veggies, cheese, avocado, whatever. it's good eating and it's pretty healthy unless you fill it with bullshit...

single malt scotch is great. Glenlivet is awesome. and you know what is a decent drink and it's practical? Crown Royal. drink that shit on the rocks and then do creative shit with the bags they put the bottle in. you can use them jounts to store your dominos, loose change, hair accessories, bullets, all kindsa shit...

i dig older albums that tell a story. listen to Prince Paul's "Prince Among Thieves" or Masta Ace's "Disposable Arts".

1. coffee rubbed pork roast - http://www.budgetbytes.com/2011/10/coffee-rubbed-pork-roast/
i made this over the weekend and it's kind of incredible. the coffee is just barely there and adds a slight bitterness that interacts nicely with the heat and sweet of the other elements of the rub

2. 100% galcher - https://soundcloud.com/galcher-lustwerk/100-galcher-mono
this is a fantastic deep house mix from a few years back. contains some light abstract rapping over hypnotic beats. there's something about the sound bank he uses that is very pleasant to my ears. it's not reinventing the wheel but the quality of the compositions is through the roof and it the mix flows nearly perfectly

3. code academy - http://www.codecademy.com/learn
free interactive site that teaches basics of how to code in javascript, html/css, python, ruby, etc. fairly intuitive and ramps up slowly

1 WAZE - traffic GPS app realtime - a must have for navigating this horrible Atlanta traffic

2 Backstory - podcast - love history but not just for the sake of history but to give you greater context for current events. This is your podcast.

3 jazz - Jazz is not dead in 2015. And there are a bunch of great new artists deserving of a wider audience ( trombone shorty, brain feeder artists, vijay idler, Gerald Clayton, robert glasper, Christian scott, jose james, Gregory porter, jason Moran, rongretz , snarky puppy, among many others).
