"No post of the cop shot in the face in Boston?"

Routine traffic stop and the guy came out shooting.

Prayers to him and his family on a speedy recovery.

This guy got out of his car firing at cops. In what way at all are the two similar?

How is this at all like the version of Ferguson that some believe?

Looking at the dudes pic im gonna file it under old man ranting.

Ultimately the problem with police brutality is that it dehumanizes both sides; it's why many conservatives view Assata (or Mumia for that matter) as criminals of the highest order and many others folks view them as being railroaded with no mention for the cops that died.

It's a toxic environment that leads to a circle in violence. The problem is one side, despite the 'what about black on black crime?!?' nonsense you see on the boards routinely confronts it. We have to; its our brothers/ friends etc getting killed out there. When those two cops got killed in NYPD there was a pretty big community outpouring,

The other side though(and it's sad I even have to use the term sides), tends to give a shrug and justify what happens on their end.

I got a white cop friend of mine and he used to be shocked at the looks of pure hatred he used to get when he was a beat cop.

Whether it's police killing civilians or civilians killing police

That's the premise of these protests.

Nobody celebrates or applauds a police officer being hurt, and those that do so are punished

However people do celebrate when police kill civilians and the police face no justice

It's absurd to call anything a justice system when that is the MO

fact is the police sullied their own reputation by refusing to clean house
the public had little faith and now have even less faith in them

they must clean house and do so publicly
otherwise there will just be less and less trust in officers
