SNL works better when they've a week or two off.

They were able to use references from the last few weeks in some of the sketches and weekend update instead of just cramming anything from a single week in.

And The Rock's got charisma to spare.

My girl asked why I'm still a die hard cat despite the frequency of disappointing episodes. I think nostalgia is most of it. I loved the rare occasions my parents let me stay up to watch.

One day an agent my mom knew called up lookin for Black kids. She signed me up and I lost my mind. First money I ever made. I remember everything about that weekend (it takes two days to do final runs) from the food to the musical guest (Dionne Farris, she was very nice).

Proof: The dork in the yellow shirt. Monoxidahl. Even in a sketch, they can't say my name right.

I would kill to be in a SNL bit even as background. Is it hectic backstage
? dd they change the wording of such a strange sketch from rehersha to live taping or was it just the same?

It was crazy hectic backstage. The best part was the downtime in between takes, all the cast just stood around and shot the breeze with us kids. I asked Damon about kissin Robin Givens and Karyn Parsons, he said the best one was Halle Berry. I was like "when did you kiss Halle Berry??" He said Last Boy Scout, which I hadn't (still haven't) seen. Ellen Cleghorne and Tim Meadows were super nice. Chris Farley stayed out until his part, blew through and bounced.

They didn't change any of the copy that I can recall. I do remember them producing two super elaborate sketches that never made it to air. That was weird to me. One was a parody of Jerry where a guy took hostages and demanded prego strippers and eventually blew brains all over the front row. The other was about a jazz trumpeter who continually puked through his horn onto the audience. They were really similar, now that I think about it. So maybe that was why.

Edit: If I say super one more time, I'll slap myself.
