new face of their racist movement and they've been pushing him to get in the race for the last year and a half ever since he so-called "stood up to Obama."

The funny thing is being as ultra-conservative as he is he wouldn't stand a chance in a general election but because the base of the Republican Party has shifted so far to the extreme right, he could *possibly* make it out of the primaries though

but Obama was not.

Even if Obama was actually born in Kenya, he'd only be in the exact same boat as Cruz lol.

This will raise his profile, help him acquire exorbitant speaking fees, and
give him material for a book. It's a money-grab move and not a realistic
attempt to vie for the presidency.

Why do I say that? Thus far, a lot of empty rhetoric such as "God is not done
with us yet, I believe in YOU" - but no specific policy articulations or clearly
stated theories/political ideas.

Maybe he's slightly hoping that some scandal or trouble will befall the guys ahead of him. But I do't really think he has a shot against them, straight up.

to get one of these Cruz types the nomination, under the mindset that the usual "time to get realistic and get behind the establishment candidate" hasn't worked out the last couple times, and it's time for something different
