Sat Mar-21-15 08:45 AM by Somnus

what time of the day?

what's your motivation? what benefits have you reaped?

what music do you listen to (if any) in your earbuds whilst running?

Furthest you've ever ran & in what time?

i would go in the evenings when i got home from work mostly. when i had a more slack job i would go in the mornings some before i took a shower and got my day going.

it definitely helped me out with endurance playing soccer. and i trimmed down a bit. i pretty much listened to whatever i had on my ipod shuffle.

furthest i ran was in a 10K race and i did it in 57 minutes.

1 year later, I only run once a week

I followed a rigorous training schedule for 4 months

lost weight, maybe too much weight

and completed the marathon in a respectable time for my first attempt, 4:18

I would give it another try to beat my time

but for now, a 3 mile jog once a week is enough

running is really hard on my body, feet/hips, etc...

what time of the day?

in the morning

I live in the Valley (LA), so any other time is too hot

what's your motivation?

initially, as stated above, the challenge of completing a marathon

what benefits have you reaped?

having the mental/physical fortitude to push myself beyond limits I had previously thought I couldn't

discipline

weight loss

setting a reaching a goal

what music do you listen to (if any) in your earbuds whilst running?

I don't

I keep a cadence in my head for pace

Furthest you've ever ran & in what time?

stated above

I used to... Though since I am now injured, I may run more. The furthest I've jog/ran was 12 miles.

I listen to a lot of rock and hip hop when I run.

I wanna run the 2016 Star Wars Half Marathon, so I'm going to start training asap.

I always wear headphones because I hate jogging, I dislike non competitive exercise in general. But I love being in shape.

When I start back up i plan on doing no more than three miles but I'll probably hover around two. If you do that at a fast pace it's a full body workout that's hard to top. You can see the physical results within a week with the right diet.

The furthest I've ever gone, I feel as if I've run seven miles straight before. I'm not big on distance. I did track and cross country in high school. High school cc is only 5k which is 3.1 miles. My track event was the 800, I really don't like doing distance. Ran the 1500 once, blazed through, finished and said I will NEVER run that event again competitively 4:30.82.

I once did a marathon relay and over the course of two days I ran 29 miles. Never again.

I'm not a serious long distance runner, I run 2 miles per day(2-4 times per week) at the least, the most ive ever run at one time is 6 miles. I also don't want to loose too much weight or muscle mass.

I live right on a greenway so we have trails that go for miles. I don't run too much in the winter or cold weather because I just hate cold weather.

I've noticed I'm a lot stronger in the gym and my stamina is as good if not better than it was when I was in my early 20's.

I just listen to Pandora on shuffle so music varies.

I don't regret starting, the benefits are great. Just ease into it if you're new.

Get some decent running shoes also.

I'd love to exercise but I have all this sitting around to do.

plus I got diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma after collapsing out of breath during an intramural football game in college when I should have been in my physical prime (and had just spent five years running 100m dash and doing high jump with no problem) so anything cardio-related is a real fucking drag after five-ish minutes, especially now that I'm so out of shape.

I pirated Insanity last summer and nearly killed myself! After a week I trashed it, I just couldn't hang.

I use to hate jogging or running. Now I love it. My music varies. Sometimes I'll jog to some Pharoahe/Skyzoo type stuff, the other days I'm on that Dub stuff my daughter got me into. I'll even jog to some dagon Sade if I'm in that kinda rainy day mood. lol
