My best friend since childhood is on that message. We go off it every few days. My other close friend has two kids aged 4 & 2, and a wife, and he's up for board in a month for his W4 ... we don't talk as often.

..folk won't even open the door to their friend if they stopped by unannounced
when I had what would constitute as a best friend we communicated (texts) daily and have lengthy calls every few days (she worked 12 hour shifts) and see each other weekly
My other homie I only speak to every few months (she's in the army and in another country and got a girlfriends and kids aka busy as heck!!) but we just pick up where we left off
