... and I'm So I'm probably skewing this a lot because of my love of TDE.
Chi has been hands-down my favourite hiphop related city for the last 5 or so years... especially if we can stretch to including the Footwork/Juke movement which seems to straddle the hiphop and house scenes, but definitely "felt" like hiphop to me.

Alot of weird shit is coming out of that druggy trap scene and while alot of it is half assed, they've got a freedom there that alot of 'we gotta be like THIS' rap regions don't have.

Earl/Tyler/OF.....or Mustard/YG....or Ty Dolla....or Kendrick/TDE....or Casey Veggies....or Dom....or Nipsey...or even Snoop new/old sound with Pharrell...or Problem....or Coco....etc etc etc we coming in so many lanes now. And Mustard's influence has actually affected R&B and Pop just as much as Rap.
