"So Um What's The History W/J Prince?" Wed Mar-11-15 09:52 AM by vee-lover
I know he's deep in the history of the Houston rap scene and is responsible for putting a lot artists on from that city and I also know he's a boxing promoter who has promoted fighters like Floyd and Andre Ward....
but
what I wanna know is why is this dude such a feared man...
I saw the THREAT he made to Puffy (and his family) for putting hands on Drake...and no response at all from Puff
I also heard that he got Stevie Francis' chain back after a dude damn near decapitated his head trying to yank it from around his neck...
I went and dug up an old Breakfast Club video and Angela Yee said that when you google him things like "one of the most feared men in the music industry" come up
I'm just curious as to who he's connected to or how did he get such a rep

in the background, contrary to guys like Baby and Suge? Coupled with the fact that he was an official street guy before the music happened, that should tell you the whole story.

And you're right, those are the dudes you gotta pay attention to

checks, even after floyd left his management that may have been before al haymon i think but still crazy
i think jprince is just a dude who is a snake with the contracts and has an established team in his home city a lot of times with these guys it's not even about being violent prisons are full of murderers from our communities, they come a dime a dozen it's the guys who are intelligent enough to identify areas of opportunity and manipulate things to take advantage it's not about fear as much as it's about being able to generate money and being smart enough to maneuver in that cut throat environment
10. "Wow,that sounds believable...has anyone ever asked Floyd abt it?" In response to Reply # 6

That's a good point, but I do believe there has to be some potential threat of violence to maintain that kind of respect....especially when it's the. HipHop industry we're talking abt...

But ppl do seem fearful of him tho...there's a link in this thread that gives you a brief history of J Prince and from the link he doesn't seem averse to using violence at all

just pointing out the differentiating factor between a dude like jprince and your average broke hood dude

So, sheeeeeeeit! I wouldn't respond either. This dude had a recorded conversation, between himself and Hoover, on a Geto Boys album. Man, it ain't a damned thang I would say either.
If one of them were, they would be on the next episode of "When Keepin It Real Goes Wrong".
Lmao yeah that is true - and now that Suge ain't connected like he once nor does he create the same type of fear he once did, I can see why he wouldn't say anything either...but of all the dudes Prince has gotten at I just thought at first Suge would be the one to say something in response...
