And her mom hit her with a metal stand afterwards. I am not even that kind of person, but i wish a mofo that lived in my house with thier children would punch me in my face in my house.
even if your mom didn't raise you b/c she was too busy trying to be a star and left you to be raised by her mother and now that you're grown she's trying to make up for lost time by being 'mom' but doesn't seem terribly well-equipped for the role where resentment over your existence is palpable and she mistreats you and is pretty hurtful, if she hits you in the face to the point that your teeth fall out it's probably your fault and not hers b/c moms are infallible.

you deserve whatever comes to you at that point. that's my opinion and no amount of emotional typing coming from you is going to change it. save yourself the keystrokes. unless of course it's cathartic or something then keep on but i'm not going to reply after this. good night.
7. "good. you shouldn't reply after that." In response to Reply # 6
especially b/c you don't know much of the story between Angie and Diamond (i only know from watching R&B Divas and Unsung).
and also b/c you haven't seen enough domestic violence cases between mothers and daughters to understand that sometimes the daughter isn't in the wrong for hitting her mother, depending on who hit first. and even if daughter hit first considering mother is the older and wiser one it's often better if she doesn't hit back just to prove some point. it's different if she's defending herself, of course.
i know more about this case and other cases like it than you. so you should keep quiet and let me handle this.

i mean, Angie could end up on probation at best and might be jailed at worst (unless her daughter refuses to testify against her then i think the state may drop the case). but SHE SHOWED HER DAUGHTER, didn't she? and being right and putting a child in her place is so much more important that being free and having a clean criminal history and being able to participate in her career which she's worked on for like 3 or 4 decades.
8. "that's sad. " In response to Reply # 0 Tue Mar-10-15 09:10 PM by SoWhat
i hope they can work this out b/c i dig Angie Stone, generally, and her daughter seems a'ight too. and i hate to see another Black woman in jail or even on probation. plus there are those kids - none of this helps them.
i dunno but based on what i've seen on Unsung and R&B Divas it seems Angie and Diamond have some real deep stuff to work through. they've started the process but need to continue. at least they're trying and hopefully whatever happened between them that resulted in Angie's arrest won't amount to too much of a setback.

Like, Ms. Stone did not need to get physical (unless her daughter did in fact attack her 1st & she was defending herself), just tell her "I pay the cost to be the boss & if you don't like it you have to get out, grandkids can stay if they want."
