I'll admit that the gold Apple Watch does indeed have some value just off the strength of the material it's crafted from....but that $10K price point is reaching....especially since it's not a stand alone timepiece and NEEDS the iOS device to function. Also has a battery that will eventually NOT hold a charge. At that point, it'll only be worth its weight in gold...literally.
Old ass watches that still hold value do so for many reasons...one key reason is that they still function as designed....or can be brought back to full functionality by a skilled watch person....

Time pieces are worth the price tag of 3 mil. Those are designed not just to tell the time, but to display as a piece of art. Timeless art. Those Apple watches are just that. Watches, with overpriced niche benefits. And won't be worth nowhere near what they cost now, in five years.

the ONLY port I use on the regular is the HDMI to plug into a 24" monitor when I need the screen real estate....other than that...EVERYTHING is wireless. .

Apple has the worst data integration systems in their built in apps then anything I have seen. I work for a large software company and my mack basically does nothing for my current work situation.
meanwhile google apps got fluid and flawless sync with MS outlook

Ionno i'm fine with their apps. I have Office on my system cause I know some people i deal with use it whether its contracts or sending me over copy for design shit but thats the only reason why i use them. Most of the time i use Pages over Word because I can edit in and upload to the Cloud from my phone when I need to. Also a lof gestures dont work in Word like they do in Pages. Simple shit like zooming in. Both are dope tho i just prefer all my shit working together.

none of that shit applies these days or even for the last decade or so.
My laptop was new in 2010. My wife and my two youngest kids have the exact same laptop (Dell Inspiron 1121)
The battery holds the same charge today as it did new. I have only reinstalled Win7 on this once and that was back in January of 2012. I have ZERO performance issues. My wife and kids have never had to reinstall windows. We have never needed to replace our chargers despite one of our cats chewing the shit out of the cables. No driver corruption ever... Shit, last time I remember anything like that was on Win98SE. BIOS updates have never been an issue and to date there's only been -one- for these laptops.
The same holds true for my second laptop: A Dell Mini 10. Though to be fair, I did recently install WinXP and Linux on it.
Them same old ass Mac Zealot talking points don't apply anymore and haven't for over a decade. That would be like me saying "Macs can't even play DVD's!!!" 'cause that was only true with OSX's initial release.

ALL of Apple's products are built to be disposed of. They literally advertise on recyclable materials. Watches are supposed to last forever. You cannot pass on a $17k watch to your kids if Apple deprecated the OS like 50 years prior.
