pretty uneventful but good week hung out w/ some friends trying to work on summer plans and some more immediate plans: new mixes, some trips
saw an article about urban planners and nightlife now im all super hype because i been preaching this. no one ever gets why i do what i do and DJ and i keep trying to tell fools: IT GOES HAND IN HAND
i lost my phone at that damn prhyme show but grateful to have $ to get a new one (and an upgrade) pretty easily. a year ago today it would have devastated me
work is insane still but im working as hard as i can. working on some really cool stuff and if they come to fruition, we'll be doing some amazing things here.

the old thing that i was contemplating reappeared yet again, but thankfully the new thing is much more appealing
good feedback on my essay. not long until i'm done!
very very excited about a project i'm working on that looks like it might have me curating a show, which i really wasn't expecting so soon! we're building this thing brick by brick & i think it's a big deal.

her August show at Webster Hall was fucking AMAZING her November show at Terminal 5 was bleh. I was mad as shit because I hyped her up to one of my bffs who came with me and we both ended up finding her performance mediocre. This was also the same week she performed 2 Weeks on the Tonight Show so there were a LOT of people who probably bought tix off StubHub that week just to say they saw her. I def felt the difference in the vibe from the crowd.

some of the stage stuff was cool but frankly her dancers were more interesting than she was, and we also didn't like her little madonna vogue homage. like, really? that's who you're gonna big up?

I'm alive even though I'm full of phlegm. I do my CrossFit Open 15.1 workout tomorrow and I'm really excited. And...here's my blog for today about it (below)...I'm pretty excited about the Open. I truly am becoming one of those CrossFit people. I think I need to go to my regular gym to get a run in and be around people who aren't crazy about CrossFit!
day 40 of the 90 day challenge and i'm down 9lbs. i might actually meet my goal! i've had a few moments of weakness but i'm trying not to dwell on those and focus on the positives. 3lbs this week i was not expecting that!
work is not good at all but thankfully i'm still employed for now. it's time to diversify my baskets though. i know what i'd like to do but i'm not certain how to get in that lane.

and everyone is telling me to sit back and recognize how much i accomplished 6 months is next week and i decided that i am going to finally take the bar this summer as well so it feels good to have a new (well delayed) goal at the same time i'm starting to be pretty proud of things that are happening

I'd be interested in reading that.
I got pushed out of the way tryna get into an Uber after my gig last night by another passenger. Shit happened so quick that I was more in shock than angry like "Yo, he really did that...fucking new San Francisco". Plus I had a bag full of gear so it wouldn't have been a good look if anything went down. Uber did end up refunding my fare tho, so that was a good way to start the morning.
