"** CONFESSION WEDNESDAY **"

-I am currently being ignored by someone who doesn't realize I don't give a fuck about them ignoring me. And the way they operate, because I've seen it before, is they ignore you for a day or two to showyou that they are upset then they try and talk to you like everything is normal. Not the boy. I am going to show you what ignoring is gotdamn.

1. Come and go as I want without having to consider anyone else.
2. Have as many women in my life as I want. And there is an endless supply of beautiful good women out there.
3. All my utilities are cheap as hell now.
4. Only one bag of trash to take out per week.

Every person should live by themselves for a few years prior to settling down. It's fantastic.

No questions to answer
I can walk around in my undies
Watch, eat what I want
Smoke/drink when I want

I will say I don't cook as much as I should though.

I am so excited for this new opportunity. Plus the 35% increase in pay and half a commute.

I have one week left at the current job and I am in the I don't care but I want to get some stuff tied-up phase.

Paid off a HUGE debt and had a little left over to have some breathing room for a while. We have a bonus and some tax money coming in too. Its a nice feeling. Now to get rid of this stupid MBA loan debt.

Been working out and eating right which is really improving my mood and overall happiness.

Waiting for the other shoe to drop. This much good doesn't happen to me.

...and I found it to be the most hilarious thing ever and I wanted to laugh when she told me the story but apparently that's the rude thing to do but she was legit mad to the point where she is saying she's going to tell the police about it.

for those who don't know, a glitter bomb is when someone ships you glitter in an envelope or a package and when you open it, it explodes glitter all over you. she said hers had glitter, dust, and sand (colorful dust and sand) so I don't think it was from the shipyourenemies site (but i also didn't see any of it).

BUT YO...people are really doing this. i thought it was some white ppl shit.

I cried so many tears later laughing...but she was so mad and it made it funnier because it's a prank, a joke and while it's a bitch to clean, the fact that someone dislikes you so much they will prank you like this is such a good feeling. if it was me, i'd be pissed then laugh. but not call the cops.

Being childfree for a week and sick during that week is some twisted fate sh*t.

whatever I did to deserve this, please know heavenly being, that I am truly sorry.

Every been so congested that you can't sleep? I have and I was last night. I'm just waiting for the crash to occur. I took so much meds last night that I should still be sleep...yet I only got shy of two whole hours. Did I mention that it's only 9:31 am and the day already feels like it's dragging?

The beautiful part of a cynical mentality is when things inevitably go wrong...it's not a shock or a surprise. Of course they went wrong that's what things do.

Not having a valentine for Valentine' Day has really killed my mood. Usually, Idc about the holiday. For whatever reason, it hit really hard this year. Everyone around me is in a long-term relationship or married. I feel like the last single person in the world. I know I'm not, but in my world, I am. Even worse, the pickings are slim in my location. I have been single for years and I feel like it's a permanent situation.

Found out my friend from high school is dating Jussie (in real life). I find this hil-ar-ious! Good for them! 😊

my knee. it went from a sprain kinda pain to full on arthritis. and this aint cool at all.

Frank Underwood is fucking ruthless. i watched House of Cards Season 2 to get ready for Season 3, and that bamma was fucking ruthless. he was straight up lying to everyone.

when i think i look nice...i have to go out and do a happy hour or something. i can't keep all this in the house for just myself. my socks are way too fly not to share them with the world.

i've finally got a proper football team. soccer football. they're not even great. not currently in the Premier league, but i think i might be the motivating force to get us over the hump. i've always been interested from afar, but i'm bout to be a real fan with this shit. i've been doing my research, and i just bought a jersey, and i'm down.

In response to Reply # 24

I guess that's a bit creeplife. So I'll explain a bit. When you post so long (2005 on my other login) you get to have some idea of people's faces and occasionally run into each other.

Throw in the fact that there's tumblr friends and twitter friends and you can get the feeling when you see someone that "you know them from somewhere" because they seem some how familiar.

Anyways, fast forward to this weekend, we were at the house going through the #DAF9 tag on tumblr and instagram, and your name came up and sure enough, you look different.

Fuck, that looks creep life. I'm gonna leave it though. Because my lady pointed out the picture she goes "hey that's the girl that was jumping up and down at the front"

So with that said, congrats.

-Im already a part time empty nester. daughter is in the process of moving out and has been spending alot of time btwn her mom's house and grandmothers. she'll probably be in an apartment within the next few months with her friend. im going through that awkward transition from being the everyday provider for her to getting home and feeling clueless because i was used to the routine of being a parent. The other day i walked past the upstairs bathroom and went all the way downstairs to use the downstairs bathroom because the upstairs bathroom ive ceded to her and she hadn't been home in 4 days. I'll fill up my time with other things soon but thats going to take some time.

-I went to visit my mom's sick friend on Monday, who will be dying of cancer anyday now. The visit was awkward because here this lady lay dying and she's offering one of her twin daughters up to me for marriage. Back story i grew up in the same neighborhood as her daughters and kind of knew them but never hung out with them like that. But this lady is effusively praising my looks and trying to get me and her daughter to hook up and date, with the other sister and the aunt in the room. Then the aunt got in on it too asking me questions and trying to set us up on a date. Then another lady comes into the room and the dying lady tells me to get up so this stranger lady can rate my looks. Ol girl says "he's fine as hell but i like them chocolate". Im pretty sure her husband was in the other room. I stayed for about 15 mins but the whole scene was awkward as shit.

-Bought the power pressure cooker xl on Sunday and love it. Cooked both chicken and fish in it from frozen to done in 10 and 6 minutes respectively. That one touch cooking is everything. No more thawing shit out.

-F*ck this cold ass weather. Im starting to hate February more and more every year because of it.

-On that note i think im going to plan an island vacation for next year this time.

I been in this bldg. for 12 years. I've been 'asking God/The Creator/The Universe' for change and now it's here and I feel weird.

I got Stockholm Syndrome. I hate it here but I'm used to it. I need to get outta this Law Enforcement environment.

I'm on the verge of buying a car. I think I've learned (from looking at my fucked up credit report) what to do and what not to do. I have a salesman looking at my dreidt report right now.

I'm too old to be scared.

I can do this.

I WILL do this.

'this' being the high cost of living to live in the DMV....specifically the county of Arlington.....but in general...DMV cost of living is becoming harder to justify.

shouldn't be lightweight struggling with a household income just under $200K.....

shouldn't be budget conscious about fcking groceries for a family of 3 with a salary that's well above the median household income of the united states....

shouldn't be stressed about whether the house is gonna appraise high enough to secure a renovation loan....

shouldn't be depressed watching house hunters and seeing folks contemplating whether $200K is too much to pay for a 3500 s.f. home on a 1-acre lot....

damn near 40...and these 1st world 'problems' shouldn't be the problems at the top of my list.

There's too much money to be had elsewhere as well as easier living.
Meanwhile, I don't UNDERSTAND the costs. Are people really living off credit up here?
I don't see how folks can afford a mortgage, a decent car, fuel, insurance & still find means to eat. Let alone have a family. I've seen the price of child care, it's completely absurd.

55. "I'm a little mad at my mom for bringing up my Grandma's will"
In response to Reply # 0

Backstory: My grandmother (dad's mom) is the only grandparent I've really ever known. She's not the warmest person, and isn't the easiest to talk to, but I still try.

Growing up, my mom always felt like my cousins were treated better by my grandma then my brother and I were. She harbored resentment about it, and even though I shrugged it off, she was mad on my behalf for not getting the same things that my cousins got.

Fast forward to the day of my dad's funeral. Despite my parents being divorced for 5 years now, my mom still came to the funeral and Shiva, since they were together for 40 years.

Against my wishes, she decided to talk to my grandma about her will. Not necessarily specific details, but just to make sure that I was still going to be taken care of in the will, now that my father is dead.

Turns out, I'm not.

The original will states that her estate would be divided among her 4 children, with the idea that each of the 4 would then eventually leave what's left of their 25% to their kids (me and my cousins) when they die.

Now that my father and brother are gone, my mom thought that I should be inserted as the 4th person in place of my dad to take his share, since it would have all been left to me anyway if she had gone before my dad.

Instead, she's just having her estate divided by the three remaining children, essentially cutting me out.

I'm not mad about that. It's only money, and even though we're not that close, I'd rather have her here than have money. But while I don't care about the money, I'd be lying if I said that the thought process doesn't hurt, and doesn't have me wondering what I ever did to her that she wouldn't want me in her will.

For the time being though, I'm just kinda mad at my mom that she chose to bring it up against my wishes, and then told me about it on the way home. I didn't want to be thinking about wills or money, I wanted to be thinking about my dad.

I suppose it's better to know now than to find out when the will is read in the future, but I didn't need to know right away. My mom was just too mad about it to not say anything to me.

I hate that I'm even thinking about it, but what can you do?

You are grown
And God has you always
However you must know what and who you are dealing with
Your mom knows more that she is telling you

Just watch your heart in regards to your grandmoms
And that side
I get that now is not the time
But guard your heart

In response to Reply # 59

I have to ride with KosherSam, it was an inappropriate time to bring it up, and even if the grandma hadn't changed the will, maybe the mom bringing it up made her angry because its' like "i'm grieving my son and this is what you want to talk about?"

there is a time and place for everything and it wasn't his mom's place, nor was it the time. and to tell him while he's still grieving over his brother and his dad is just another gut punch that seems to much to bear...I would be pissed too.

Moms was wrong. And I understand it was done out of love and caring and making sure that her children are treated as fairly as others but that doesn't make it right or appropriate. especially after her son requested to let it be during this time.

because im sure grandmom had been doing slick shit

It's not like I'm bending over backwards and screaming WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME?!?! and it's not like I need the money.

People are who they are, and you can't let yourself get upset because someone isn't who you want them to be.

I love my grandmother, but we're not close. We see each other on holidays and such, and that's pretty much it. Of her 8 remaining grandkids, I live the closest, so I probably see her the most, but it's mostly just small talk when we do. We've never had that deep, meaningful, words-of-wisdom type of relationship. She didn't come to my wedding because it was in a church. We're civil and friendly, which is pretty much how she is with all of her grandkids.

I'm not gonna treat her any differently based on this info, but I do wonder why.

I know my mom was looking out for me, but she could have chosen a better time.

... well, I already have a worst-case scenario plan.
But I'm just glad to finally be at this point. I'm sick of going back and forth and having one lab test after another.

I spent 14 hours in bed, starting at 5:30pm yesterday. And I still struggled to get up this morning
and make my doctor's appointment.
At this point, I'll take whatever pain my body dishes out if they can just do something about the fatigue.
That's what I'm really struggling with.

I'm also really really restless. I don't know what it is but I might be
headed up to Memphis just to chill if it doesn't go away.

I wasted a WHOLE lot of time dating someone I knew in the back of my mind I didn't want to spend the rest of my life with. Now I'm single again, and for whatever reason my confidence is crazy low. Wasted time is the worst thing in the world in my opinion, and all I can do is look in the mirror and think "You dumbass." I had one of those Fresh Prince moments where I imagined myself old and single with a shirt on that say JAM.... and out of no where just saying dumb dumb diddy! I'm sure it'll pass soon, but I'm not in a good mental space at the moment.

This year has been challenging so far yet rewarding.

Spinning at the Mick Jenkins/Kirk Knight show tonight, I'm hyped.

In a couple weeks I'll have way more answers than I do now.

Starting to put myself out there more musically. 2015 will be like a
whole new life.

My circle is completely different now. I'm stepping out of the shadows
of others this year.

Getting back in shape and it's going REALLY well. Swagger on 10 lol.

Looking fwd to SXSW. It'll be the 1st thing resembling a vacation
this year.

Bout to see what this label is talkin bout.

I want to start my own label.

I just wanna make my mark.

2) I got a vday gift for the first time in YEARS... it was thoughtful & nice & sweet & completely unexpected from a man who knows I cannot be with him... But I was really moved... If he EVER make that move, it's on & popping though...

3) I really been on some 'you don't give a fuck/ idgaf neither' with these niggas as of late... But I cldnt do it... Fine or nah, he married as fuck... Gotdamn these scruples of mine, cuz FUCK, he fine... Lmao...

4) nichole SPOKE to me in that article & what's crazy is, I've had men, plain out SAY it & I fucked with HIM for YEARS & like Prince, that's pretty much his M.O... or was... Anyway, I tried it & got a favorable response... The potential for slut shaming still worries me, but I'm sure I'll overcome that sooner than later...

5) my family loves me, unconditionally & sometimes when they are far away, it's easy to forget that, but letting them love on me for a week has truly done my spirit good...
