as someone who used to make ANSI art, still has diskettes full of old games and applications and folders of works, word perfect, and real media files, and has lost web sites, email accounts, and hard drives, this resonates with me
no surprise it's google that says "the rights of preservation might need to be incorporated into our thinking about things like copyright and patents and licensing. We’re talking about preserving them for hundreds to thousands of years" (no swipe so you can see his face)
