The Book of Enoch, The House of Caine is done. 195 pgs and the cover art is being finished this week.

I am self-publishing this wonderful sci-fi adventure filled with mythical and mystical creatures, fantastic worlds, spirituality, war, love/passion and loss/drama.

It is the first in a series of four novels.

My quandry is once I have the physical books, how best should I market? Website? Facebook Page? Tour?

Help!!! I (in my heart) believe this could be the work that gets picked up and good things happening to it, I just want to make sure I am doing the right things.

from what I hear, it's pretty damn easy to get your shit on Kindle and what not

3. Look up well-known reviewers in your genre and send them free copies of your book. This also includes podcasts.

4. Put out a press release.

5. Try and get some interviews. As many as possible.

6. Create an audio version and submit it to Audible (not sure what the process for that is)

7.Do some research on good books on self-publishing/marketing and social media and read (or listen on audio). Educate yourself more in-depth on the industry and process and move forward.

8.Send me a link to cop.

No matter how well it reads to you, your aunt who taught english or your best fried, YOU need an editor. Trust me on this.


2) Createspace....or agooddaytoprint.com (Black owned)


Createspace gives you direct marketing to Amazon, as this is Amazon's self publishing arm..but buy your own ISBN's separate from using' create spaces, as it will allow you to place your book in more markets and distributor catalogs.



3) post on blacksciencefictionsociety.com, The Carl Brandon Society, Afropunk, and any afro futurist sites
