Some artist make it and some dont regardless of talent. If they dont have the machine putting them out there I guess it just doesnt happen.

She's in the same boat Alice Smith is in. Urban stations don't play their music. And neither do the pop stations. It shouldn't be as difficult to market such uniquely talented artists as it unfortunately seems to be.

....but she's kinda in that alterna-RnB/pop/folk/soul lane that people really can't box up and sell yet.

By her second or third album, I can see her getting a Corinne Bailey Rae type run of popularity though...
