"OKParents: I need some good SHORT book selections... "
Yo, there's nothing worse than when you ask the child to pick a book to read before naptime or bedtime and they come back with the toddler version of War & Peace.
A good friend of the family gave us some books for Christmas and, while they're great for talking to her about cultural inclusiveness and have great messages for empowering a little girl, THEY ARE LONG AS SHIT.
Maybe I'm just too goal oriented but I feel like bedtime stories should be to promote and foment, you know, sleep. So I'm tryna get a story out, look at some pictures, and then put the baby down. I ain't got time to sit there for 45 minutes.
So I need some good reccos for short bedtime stories.

angry ladybug, very busy spider etc.)
i feel your pain, though. some of the books he picks out are long as shit, others are nice and short/simple to get through. sometimes on the longer ones i skip pages, problem is now he's 4 and he remembers every damn thing so he knows if a page was skipped. then i gotta go back and read the skipped pages because he either remembers a picture from that page of something said and realizes that he didn't hear/see it.
