Any kind souls out there would like like to recommend me an books they found informative on the Harlem Renaissance? Have read lots of books written from that period but would like to read of the period a bit more. Appreciate it!
if there's a particular author or artist from the harlem renaissance that you're drawn to, that will help you further develop your reading list. i'm a HUGE zora neale hurston fan so reading about her is always a treat for me. there's a new collection of langston hughes' letters coming out soon, so that also could be worth checking out.
just sayin'.

Book would be The New Negro edited by Alain Locke. I don't know if any other book outshines it as it is filled with essays and other works by Harlem Renaissance participants.
Everything has been figured out except how to live.

multiple times.
Langston's books really give you a day to day of an artist during that era, that is why I put that up first...but I agree, New Negro gives you a comprehensive overview of the era.
