"The 5ive"
Fri Feb-06-15 10:07 AM by Fishgrease

Martin
-------
I've spent so much money in the past week that it's pretty much a necessity that I sit my tail down and near the house this coming weekend.

Attucks
-----------
I have a skin tag on my stomach and kinda sorta almost ripped it off the other day due to it snagging on the seat belt of my car. Went to the doctor that same evening--hoping to have it removed. That didn't happen due to that fact that it was so large that in doing so it would require 4-6 stitches.

Now I have an outpatient surgery 1/2 way across town scheduled for next wednesday.

It's the 2nd month of the year and I've already blown through most of my FSA money.

Malcolm
-------

My lease is up in May.
I can't wait to move. I've been in the same spot for 5+ years and it's time for a change. I don't even care about a commute no more. Just need a change.

Chisolm
--------
My youngest sister (23 w/3 kids) needs a car.
I offered her and her baby daddy mine for the low ball price of $2500. (it's a 2004 VW Passat Wagon with (104k miles) Decent condition. Definitely better than riding the bus and yadda yadda. Had it just been my sister---I'd probably just give it to her but when there's two able bodied and working adults in the picture, I can't do it. Men provide or at the very least should make an attempt.

Why did they try to low ball me and offer me $1500. I only suggested $2500 because I wanted them to appreciate it once they got it by knowing they earned it. (so much for an adult teaching another an adult a lesson, right?) Then they tried to say they'd give me $1000 and make payments on the rest...

They went and told my father that i was trying to scrooge them. he and I both laughed at that sh*t..I then told him to relay the message that the car is no longer to be discussed as the deal isn't on the table.

Muhphuckas just don't want sh*t. Enjoy the bus rides with three kids under 4. Everything I got, i've worked for and have had no help from ANYONE---What I was doing was a solid which y'all quickly liquified and let evaporate.

PhuckPhamily.

Booker T.
-------

i ain't done this in so long...i ain't even got five things.

I'll come back with something.

Phuck black history month. Negros doing n*gga sh*t irk me to no end. Everyone wants a handout...not realizing what I was offering was a handout. Blessings aren't always free, some require a tad bit of work and effort. According to another sibling of mine, my younger sister and her baby daddy are gonna go to some "DumbSuckerStupidMuhPhucka car lot" and get gouged for 28% interest. I'ma let folks learn the lessons I tried to help them avoid the hard way.

I'm not gonna MAKE you buy my car and I'm definitely not gonna do it on your terms.

so my "cousin" posts how girls are always greeting her son at school, some he doesn't even know. how she's not ready.
someone replies that he's going to be a daddy in middle school.
i reply what a terrible thing to say.
he {it was a male} said the little boy had hoes, lighten up.
after i put his blk ass all of the way together i realized i am a bit of a "classist" when it comes to facebook.

posted a pic of the spinach omelette my son made me for breakfast.

Muhphucka said it looked like a folded egg with a leaf inside of it.

I.went.AWWWWWWWWFFFF.

I *NEVER* go at anyone on FB. Matter of fact, I post about myself (simply because I'm too lazy to update my blow) and rarely even comment on other peoples stuff much less my own--. But this one? About my child? On my page? The omelette my 9 year old made me without supervision and wouldn't let me come into the kitchen until it was done? And YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU wanted to say something negative about it?

not on my watch. definitely not on my page. And for damn sure not without retort from the one who's obligated to protect him regardless of the time, place or media form.

today's theme is books that have touched me recently:

Compañeras:
The more I look inward
the kinder I am to myself
the more I invest in myself
the more love I find myself having to give
the surer I am in my place in the world.

The Sociopath Next Door:
you ain't gotta like me
but you WILL respect me.

S&M 101:
I forgot how much fun it is to discover new things about yourself
new likes
new dislikes
new desires

The Namesake:
I secretly hope that some future descendant of mine passes down my name the way I hope to give my future kids my grandparents' names. I'm really big on that.

The Joy Luck Club:
I used to be one of those girls who had mostly male friends. Didn't see the value of having female friends.
I laugh at the old me now because the women who I have been blessed to befriend have sustained and carried me through incredibly dark times. I honestly do not know where I would be without their love and support. I love being a woman and I cherish the bonds I have built with other women.

I ate some okra the other day for the first time in over 30 years. I had it once as a child and decided at that very moment I didn't like it. Never ate it again. Well last week, I bought some, cooked it and was pleasantly surprised. I supposed that as a child I couldn't get past the slimy texture but as an adult, it wasn't bad and the taste was actually very palatable. I'll be having it again.

I also made some zucchini noodles---which paired with some fresh Parmesan cheese, is quickly becoming my new favorite quick meal.

1. I'm excited about this weekend. I have 3 different parties in 3 days. One being Baltimore Magazine's Smoking Hot Top Singles Party.

2. I hung out with my ex this past Monday. It was really cool to just hang, catch up and chat. During the time I could see he had break uppers remorse. We're both so prideful that neither of us will admit they want to get back.

3. So glad I scored a screener pass for 5o shades. Never read the book but, the movie seems hmmmmm.

4. Folks want to know how i get to do so many things for the low low. I just keep my eyes and ears open. I'm constantly engaging folks. You never know who does what and what they have access to.

5. I'm plotting on how I'mma leave work an hr early. LOL It's empty as hell in here and I want to go to the raw bar.

1 - yesterday was so shitty. you ever anticipate the bs that's gonna come and there's nothing you can do to stop it so you just gotta deal with it? i need a better way to deal with it bc i knew what was gonna happen but i was screwfaced the whole way through. some resolution came today but gahdammy if people would do their jobs and COMMUNICATE with each other about said jobs we could all avoid the bs. how do you take the bs gracefully? i wouldn't mind it if i could be zen about it.

2 - on top of #1, yesterday usps tried to tell me they left a note for a package but there was no note! already agitated this just sent me over the edge (coupled with their non-existent customer service). lucky for them my package was waiting for me when i got home.

3 - last week i put "let your haters be your motivators" to good use. yes i know this is petty. this lady at kickboxing seems to think that my spot on the mat that i've had for 4 years is her spot. but it's not. and as i'm standing in my spot i hear her muttering behind me. so i pretended the standing bag was her and had the best 8 rounds of my life. and guess where she was standing this week? behind me. bitch.

4 - i am too hype about getting hls tonight. it's one of the few restaurants i can eat at and not worry about sodium and sugar. i'm buying enough food to last the weekend. their kale is so bomb.

5 - i ain't feel like doing my hair so i'm wearing a hat today. lawd don't let this hat fall off

i've heard the place referred to as madame zenobia's after the gambling spot on Uptown Saturday Night. that's cuz the hood presence in there is deep. maybe so deep that it's hurting profits?

This was the first year ever that I started looking at people sideways who bitched about it being cold.
After the 6-month hell that was last winter, THIS particular winter really ain't bout shit (at least in the NYC metro area). I did not, however, lose my right and privilege to bitch about all the transit-related woes stemming from said weather.

here for dis.

New Job

Suitelady got a new job! YAY!! Can't wait to get the hell outta here. And these fools don't seem to care that I hold a lot of organizational information and wear alot of hats, and that I am leaving in two weeks. The IT Director took me to lunch today and he is like "Man they gone be up a shit creek without a paddle and they don't even realize it." He also said it is good that I am so good at what I do that people don't realize how much I do and that they will probably need two people to replace me vs. one.

Skin tags!
>-----------
I hate them things. I get them on my neck and right around wear my bra meets my mid-section. The last one I had was during the holidays and I walked around with a band aid on my neck to keep my clothes from snagging on it. It hurt like hell!

Back at it again. Why? Because I have nothing else to do. And neither does he. And because gas prices were under $2.00. Now that they back over $2.00 again, who knows what will happen.

You are right!

I was looking for those words - the "men provide or at the very least should make an attempt to provide" in a different situation. I just could figure out how to say it.

The band aids started doing more damage than the 1/2 ripped skin tag did...the adhesive from the bandages seem to be tearing my stomach up. I have scars from where they band aids last were. I ain't put one on in about 3 days due to the sore skin.

Everytime I try to go out of my way to help a relative, they put me in such a position that I curse their asses out and leave them to their own demise.

1) A couple of days after I got gas at 2.07 per gallon, it went down to 1.95. I couldn't wait to get gas again. But because I work so close to home, I didn't get past a quarter tank until yesterday. Now gas is 2.15 and I'm pissed.

2) I'm not taking care of my hair like I should because I'm so busy with other stuff. This will be the year when I really start paying attention to it.

3) My car will be paid off this year. I should be more excited, but I'm kinda blah about it. My husband wanted me to go to the car show with him, but I declined because I really want another car. Going there would've just propelled me to somebody's car lot and a new note. I'm proud of myself for walking away from temptation.

4) This house is kinda getting on my nerves. My plumbing's going drip-drop, drip-drop (shout out to Empire) and I see money dripping with it.

5) I'm not an animal person in real life, but animal videos make me melt. There's a new android commercial with different breeds of animals being friends with each other. Almost shed a tear over it.

1. According to my w-2, I earned more working (the same job) 9 months last year than all of 2013.
I'm kind of proud of how much and how hard I worked. But that's also why I had to quit.

2. I've had my dog full-time for just over 2 weeks now and I'm already overly attached, lol.

3. As my hair has grown out, I've tapered it. I love it. But now I'm ready to cut it all the way down again. Short hair is awesome.

4. I went off on my bff today. He asked if I was on my period (I am, lol) and I just really went
into the red zone on him -- no pun intended. I should probably apologize but I'm probably not going to.

5. I really want to have doughnuts for dinner and ice cream for dessert. -_-
