First off holy shit at Eddie Redmayne. I have not seen an over the top performance like that in a long time.
This was like four movies rolled into one with underdeveloped characters who I did not give not a fuck about.
Two minor stand out characters disappear completely half way though.
And this shit got repetitive for a good portion of the runtime. Jupiter gets captured, is given exposition and a last minute cliched rescue. Rinse and repeat. Again. And again.
Some the shit in here is flat out bad and goofy. This is coming from a dude who was entertained by Speed Racer and LOVED Cloud Atlas.
Positive side of this shit is the universe was well created, the score was dope and most (not all) of the action scenes had me grinning like a motherfucker.

a very entertaining flick. I understand why people wouldn't like it though. There was some repetitiveness, but that didn't really bother me, it was visually stunning and most of the action (especially towards the end) was pretty intense.
