Looking forward to my trip to the A this weekend. Baby Shower here I come!!!! Just me, my daughter and my mom are making this trip. My hubby and his mom are staying here. I have a feeling that fireworks are going to fly. I'm just waiting for the play by play when I get back.

I'm also going to meet up with my cousins while I'm there. I'm really looking forward to this weekend.

I have headhunters calling everyday about Jobs that are out of state. Maybe I could do an out of state contract after my son graduates in May, but not now. I can't leave like this.

Oh, and I didn't make it you the 2nd round with Good Ol' G**gle.. The hiring manager wanted someone with a little more experience. I can dig it. Plus I don't have my PMP. So I kinda knew I was on the Long List for getting cut. But I can HOPE..lol

I'm taking a PMP course online, It's pretty good too. I found it on Amazon Local for the $69.00. My man who teaches PMP said it looks good too. I've been doing PM work for years but I'm not certified. So, I plan to take the Exam end of April.

I hate Corp. America, but my telecom Engineering skills are becoming dated and I don't care to learn about any new technology. I've been in the game since 92 and I need to leave. Plus PM's can make a killing in the right sector.

i've been having mild pain down there for the past few days. and i sometimes have pain during and/or after the hoochie coochie.

the gyns tell me i shouldn't worry. last checkup, my fibroids still weren't big but there was no ultrasound so i don't know for sure. there are 4 of them but even small ones can cause pain supposedly. or what if the pain is something else?

ive had two trips to the emergency room for pelvic pain...once it was a ruptured cyst and the other time there was no explanation.

so with my past being what it is and still having regular light and easy periods, its hard to pinpoint what the problem might be. i gotta find a good doctor and advocate for myself. shit sucks tho.

that could help
or perhaps you need to change the kind of bc

don't worry about the fibroids, as long as they don't get as bad as mine were, you're find. mind you, i hadn't gone to a gyno in 4 yrs due to no insurance.

been thinking about getting on low estro pill tho. kinda nervous to do that too. did bc help you?

im worried about this damn pain. if the fibroids are causing it, it could be getting bad. or it could be something other than fibroids like endometriosis.

esp menstrual pain
i'm on yaz and i love it
i still cramp, but not as bad as when i'm not on it, plus it clears up my skin and i don't gain weight. i also don't get periods. as far as coming off it, my face did break out but i was also able to get pregnant 6 months after stopping.
every pill work differently for everyone though. this one works well for me. i'd consider it if i were you. just talk to your gyno about your concerns.

but i just looked it up on
webmd

the symptoms is that it itches
i was always told that it was a form of ringworm
and ringworms itch

that is why it spreads in young kids because they scratch at it

however you would know more
hence im not a guy

i cried the first time i saw it it looks that bad lol
it could be that it looked really bad bc his genitals are small and diapers kept the area moist
which only helps fungus grow
but it looked soooooo crazy lol

If you can't find any difference in the skin, than it sounds like sweat. Wash well, change your underwear daily, and use baby powder to absorb the moisture, and you can also use lotion.

Closed at the end of Nov. Just paid my second mortgage payment.

Gonna get the place painted professionally and some work done on the lights in the kitchen, but it's going slowly. I feel like I can't really furnish the place until I have all that done.

Then there's unpacking all the junk from my 1br apartment. that's coming along slowly. I still have a ton of stuff in the garage. Then I gotta think about furniture. 1br furniture looks ridiculous in a large townhome.

Most nights, I come home cook and just veg out. I gotta get used to living in different rooms of my house too. I'm on my main level way too much. I get dressed, undressed, take off my shoes all in my living room dining room. I gotta get used to having different rooms for different purposes. I still live like a bachelor in a 1br apartment.

I really need to get it in gear cause I want to start having folks over by the time the spring comes, cause I have a pretty kickass deck.

we didnt have the money to hire painters to do the entire inside of the house. It needed it. So we had to do it ourselves. Killed ourselves for the next 3 months painting every weekend and whenever we had free time. After those first 3 months we didnt want to do shit afterwards and we had so much unpacking to still do. Now its just a project at a time. Lets work on this when we have time. Knocking out little shit when we get a chance. shit we have been here for a year and a half and I still have an empty formal living and dining room. I aint got no money to furnish them rooms. Might take care of living room when Uncle Sam comes through.

take it or leave it...lol

get your furniture first or at least have an idea of what you want before you paint ESPECIALLY if you are paying to have it done professionally. reason being it is easier to match paint to your furniture than it is to match furniture to your paint. this article explains it a little better http://roomfu.com/2011/10/chicken-or-egg-which-comes-first-paint-or-furniture/

if that's tl:dr the jist is

"The reality is a little tougher to sell. Picking out paint colors before sofas, rugs, chairs, bedding, curtains–all of those textiles in a room–restricts you in many ways and could be disastrous unless you’re just going to slap a coat of Builder Beige on all of the walls. And if you do that, you’re just doing your life wrong.

If you are planning to create a more personal space, you owe it to yourself to put your paint selections on the backburner. Why? Let’s say you’re hell-bent on having charcoal gray walls and a beige sofa, with a gorgeous eggplant rug. Just as the painters finish rolling on the perfect charcoal gray on the walls, you find the sofa of your dreams, and–gulp–it’s on sale. But lo, and behold, your fabulous dream sofa only comes in charcoal gray. At that point, it’s either bye-bye sofa, or you’re paying for another paint job. Either way, you lost out on an opportunity to save some money."

In response to Reply # 28

...although I still will go mostly paint first.

Reason being that I don't want to buy all the furniture and then have to move it out of the painter's way.

I know I'm not going with a builder's beige on the walls, but I do know it will be somewhere in that color palette. More of a modern neutral color.

I'm not big on having a garanimal looking ass house with 10 different colors in it. Currently I'm living with the canary yellow that previous owners had throughout the main areas.

The kitchen family room will get painted "Essential Gray" which is a warm neutral and will accentuate the white cabinets and brushed nickel chandelier/ceiling fan. the rest of the house is a toss up at the moment, but nothing too bold or too dark.

Lord, I'm rambling.

See the thing is about my place is that it has a very open concept. The main level flows down to the basement and up to the upper level.

So there really is no good place to have one color stop, and another one start. The only place for that is in the kitchen/family room which is separated off by a pair of French doors. Already picked the color for that. And the color allows for a lot of flexibility in furniture choices.

But the rest of the main level living room/dining room and halways, staircase pretty much have to be one color. And I'm more for making a place pop with art/furniture than with loud colors everywhere. Just my personal style.

Now I might go bold in the basement which is closed off, and in the bedrooms, but I don't plan to have those done this year. Just the main level and I can go to town. I know all my furniture is gonna be of the walnut/cherry brownish variety.

I got a couple of possible dining room tables picked out, and I know I'm gonna go with wood (possibly reclaimed wood) and then accent it with nice fabric chairs. Possibly with nailhead touches.

*sigh* Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn are gonna be the death of me.

Not totally traditional, not totally modern. Transitional is the word. It'll look nice for years without looking dated.

The second one is more daring, but honestly would be out of place with damn near everything else I'm looking at to go with it (chairs, sideboard, console table) but it is very unique.

things have been transpiring for some time because i haven't been clear on what i want to people for them to listen.

I realize that it is a failure of communication on my part and not stepping up to make some hard decisions. This failure of communication is a character flaw i have that im working on because i was so used to things working out eventually without my influence. I realize that im wrong and cant get away with that anymore.

Today, the changes i need to take place will be clearly laid out and put in place.

Some people are not going to like what i have to say but its not about coddling other peoples feelings no more. Its about me taking charge of my life more because its no other option.

I'm dealing with a coworker whose trying to micromanage way too much shit, won't let folks do what they know how to do, and feels like he's gotta be right all the goddamned time.

I'm *thisclose* to having a casual conversation with the CEO to express my concerns even though I know that would be a declaration of war.

I'm still weighing the costs and the benefits, and I know I can't just go at this cat guns blazing, but still. Someone's gotta step to him with some real authority to get him to chill.

He just ain't getting the message from his peers so it probably needs to come from the boss.

I think I've moved closer to the dog side in the great cat vs dog debate.

I still very much love cats and hope to own a hairless sphynx some day, but having a dog is really, really awesome.
My little guy is up for anything, which makes me up for more things.
We've already discovered two new hiking trail entrances. I can't wait for spring and summer now.

I'm actually looking forward to something.

I LOVE dogs. I want one really badly but I know I cannot be a good owner at the moment as I am too busy with work, life pursuits.

I've got a lot of work to do, but he's going to be fantastic by the end of this year.

It really is. I had to wait a few years to get myself more together before having him full time.
But the wait was worth it. When you finally get your dog, it'll be amazing.

doing some NON-ATHLETIC shit! may need surgery. may not. i got crutches and a brace, and i was limping around like a broke dick dog. my dick works fine tho and its a lot better. still gotta meet with the doc on Fri and we'll go from there.

(this is kind of a continuation from above) i drink too much tho. working back in the city is great. i'm social. i'm active. i'm drunk a lot. got a lot of non-alcohol related activities to do, but on a random night....i'll hit up a happy hour. and i don't hit shit softly....i hit the fuck outta it. i gotta control, regulate, and act thirty four.

i have a hard time not wanting to date my friends. but i also am a friend enough where it doesn't really fuck the relationship up. i want you to be happy. i want you to be comfortable. but if you get close to me (if i allow you to get truly close to me) that speaks volumes about the kind of person you are. and why wouldn't i want to be with like someone like that?

you know what...they try and give everything a scientific disorder. sometimes....you might just be greedy and undisciplined. this:

https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/binge-eating-disorder

thats a crock of shit. look at the symptoms:

Binge Eating Disorder

Binge Eating Disorder (BED) is a type of eating disorder that is characterized by recurrent binge eating without the regular use of compensatory measures to counter the binge eating.

Symptoms

Frequent episodes of consuming very large amount of food but without behaviors to prevent weight gain, such as self-induced vomiting.

A feeling of being out of control during the binge eating episodes.

Feelings of strong shame or guilt regarding the binge eating.

Indications that the binge eating is out of control, such as eating when not hungry, eating to the point of discomfort, or eating alone because of shame about the behavior.

yo.....that's all normal, common sense. you eat a alot you're going to feel like shit. you eat as a comfort....it doesn't help. but to call it a disorder....that's just a cop out to me.
---------------------------------------
it's true what they say...people are strange, when you're strangers.

not compassionate....only polite.

I am not like you at all and i cannot pretend.

- I hate that the Seahawks made me -care-... LOL, that was the most "Eagley" (© poetx) thing ever. goddammit.

- Reading KosherSam's news of course reminded me of the sudden death of my father, as did some recent events. some years have passed and my siblings and I got something out of a wrongful death suit. so we were all checking in to see who got what. My brother was the last to get his check, and he said something like: "I'd give it back 100x if we could have Dad back"

and then I just remembered being at home with all of them, that period after we lost our mother, and how basically our father was the central, unifying figure between us going our different ways. now he's gone, and we're split 4 different ways across the country. the only way we know what everyone's doing is through social media and the phone. and that's wack when you spend 2 decades around 'em.

especially with my recent wake-up calls. how much more time will I have around 'em, I wonder? we're going to somehow find a way to all get "home" this year. we'll visit our parents the only way we can.

- at least I've seeing some positives. hope all this work will be worth it in the end.

twin 4 year olds, boy/girl.

always saw myself as a father, but twins was totally unexpected.

my wife says i should be a husband first, but part of me feels like she's only saying that because my stepson is 14. she's done this before i haven't and I fucking love them man. completely unconditionally. they are awesome.

i'm honestly trying my hardest in the husband dept, but i realize i'm failing when i tell my 4 year olds "i missed you today" in front of my wife and i haven't said that to her yet. it's involuntary man. with her it feels forced, like man you know i missed you, even though we emailed back and forth all day and you called me after i left work and here we are in the kitchen talking to each other.....again.

maybe its the talking...less is more with me, but its the opposite with her.

anyway, i love those little jokers.

"Life is good."

those aren't confessions, those are random thoughts. confessions are "i killed someone"
"i'm cheating on my husband"
"i have a crush on my coworker"

things that are actually like oh wow. not oh.
why must y'all continue to do this? As soon as I see certain ppl's names I'm like OH GOD THEY GONNA CONFESS THEY GOT A NEW BOOK IN THE MAIL!

that shit is wack. like if you don't want to confess real shit cuz the streets are watching, that's fine but for fuck sake, why can't y'all just not post at all?

at first i put ridiculous pressure on myself b/c these ppl are paying you so much more than they would their internal resource. every meeting was terrifying and everything i submitted had to be PERFECT

and, i didn't have the confidence to be like "so what u need is xyz.." eventho we're being paid for our expertise, i felt some typa way just barging in and pushing a plan on people. but i realized that's why we're there and aint no time/money for wishy washiness lol

i'm getting much better at it. i was a lot more assertive and confident today and it got a really good reception.

at first I was worried I was being too out there but

a) nothing's really wrong with that

and

b) I ain't beholden to nobody so fuck it.

My sex drive is still Bonanza Jellybeans though... Like how rude would it really be to just text a dude, "could you knock the back of my throat out later?"

But I still chill though lol

Im excited abt my life for the first time in a while.

I'm having regular sex for the first time in YEARS & its GREAT. it's also with a man that for the first time I have absolutely no... Feelings? Like I don't "like" him... He's nice looking, he's funny & cool, but... I don't have a crush or the tingles or anything... And there's some part of me that wants me to believe that's a bad thing, but right now, it's EXACTLY what I need.

Zahrah is me. All over again, in every way & dealing with it is difficult. I wish I had my mama.

I am ridiculously homesick. Like RIDICULOUSLY. I miss my family & friends soooo much.

2014 was a horrible year, already, 2015 is infinitely better...

I'm surprised by how much I don't miss this place

Dude I mentioned a while ago who said he had feelings for his ex

He moved on to a old friend to have as a girlfriend which i was cool with since I didn't want to date him

We still text daily

Tonight I dinner with him and a mutual friend

He insulted me to the fried and claimed it was a joke but when I got him alone he apologized

Gave me an extra long goodbye hug

Didn't turn into a kiss like I predictsd it would but he said later he was turned on while talking to me...

Shits just all weird

it wont happen unless i make it happen
nobody is going to walk to my door & just drop a million off like here.
so i have to make it happen.

but im so lazy.

i dunno if lazy is the right word but im just a major procrastinator & over analyzer.

cowardly? i dunno. fear of failure? not so much because i mean...like...by accident...im doing SOMETHING.

but i know im not doing everything i can. because its a lot of work.

so maybe lazy is the right word. *shrug*

I just found out I'm the smallest I've been since high school (a little smaller actually) and I still can't see a difference in the mirror. I can fit my clothes just fine or some of them are a mite too big but I still see myself as the chick with all the baby fat plus extra.

I wish my mom fully understood how strong her preoccupation with my weight fucked me up

Now all she ever calls me is her skinny mini daughter but I don't feel like it ever.

like this is my one insecurity at this point... it keeps me humble but I think it also fucks with my standards

ughhhhhhhhhh

Spent a year basically bedridden with back issues.
Fixing it was HARD. Not 100% back but at least it's at the point that it's not distracting.
Lemme tell y'all.
Chronic pain is just absolutely nothing you want to fuck with.

Didn't really start taking care of it until I realized I was staying home because my back hurt. Leaving parties early. Performance at work deteriorated. Sex was less fun. List goes on.

Never going back.

Also please excuse the shameless wiling out I'm doing right now and will probably continue throughout the summer.

i think i'm not supposed to feel that way... but i just can't take being in the house with a baby all day.

I was fortunate enough that the job i had when he was born allowed me to take time off to be at the hospital. But after 16 weeks back and forth to the hospital and 5 weeks at home with him, i'm so ready just to have my own stuff to do. I miss my own identity and the part of my life that i do for me. All that being said, it's hard to find time to apply for jobs because there's a ton of baby-related things that need to be done. I'm slowly but surely settling into a rhythm with this, but it's time for me to find something to stimulate my brain.

I'm finally living downtown and thrilled about it. I'm walking distance from work & my church, do that's exciting. It's too cold to walk to work right now but this summer I intend to enjoy it.

I'm still dating #2 and I'm pretty happy. I wished things would go a little faster but whatever... that's just me.

Is there a Valentine calculator? I have no clue what to get him. I half wanna just get him tix to something and be done with it. But that doesn't feel very romantic. *sigh*

Freckles is back home. She ran outta financial aid and I had to send her home. I'm trying to get her into a local school but not having transportation to handle all the red tape and gather all the documents they want is a problem. I'm hoping to get her in soon before depression sets in. She also has to get a job, so there's that...

Y'all missed all the drama with moving downtown. Let's just say 3 apartment floods, a gaping hole in the wall and missing closet and shower rods later, I'm finally getting settled in. I scheduled a thrift store to come tomorrow to come get the extra crap that can't fit in here.

Work is cool. I need more hours though. But I like it. I see a lot. It's like the seedy underbelly of Atlanta hangs out there. Like, these people purposely get drunk/high and stroll up there to show out. It's hilarious sometimes.

I still hear from the boy. He's doing well. Progressing, etc. (His Mom sent him away to job corps.)

I think that's about it.

I am sandwiched between 2 apartments that like to fuck at odd ass hours.

This morning I woke up to go to the bathroom at 4am and the people in the apt above & below were getting it in. The thing is...the shit doesn't even sound desirable if I wanted to get my creep life on. Both women sound like wounded ass animals and reminds me of the movie, "earth girls are easy." Add to it neither couple is attractive. Couple above me looks like Meth Damon and crashedTaryn Manning from her Hustle and Flow days. Other couple looks like Golom and Chewbacca. Maybe that's the cause for the sound but, *earbuds* Yuck!

Granted, it's maybe 4 feet tall, pretty small, so it's not like it takes over my living room. I've been either sick, busy, or out of town the entire past 2 months, and I enjoy its light, so taking it down hasn't been a priority at all. But it's going down this weekend.

This retrograde is kicking my ass.

Still following thru with everything I said I was gonna do (tho late).

I've accomplished a lot of my dreams in 2 years but realized recently
I let fear stop me from pursuing the dream of dreams in the most
meaningful way. Fixing that ASAP.

Threw my 1st show since 2011, and man it was great.

Throwing another next week and it looks to be even bigger.

Release date for my 1st release of the year = April 7th

Life ain't bad I suppose.
