I was going to call him on Friday on my drive home from work, but for whatever reason, I didn't.

Then I got busy this weekend, and didn't call him, so I was gonna call him today on my drive home.

During the day, I got a text from my aunt asking if I had heard from him since Saturday. Apparently, no one had, and he wasn't answering his phones.

I tried calling him on my way home, and when I didn't get an answer, I called the Sheriff's department in Arizona to do a welfare check on him. Apparently, based on the newspapers at the door, they believe he died on saturday.

This is less than 12 weeks since my brother died. I'm still not over THAT, and now this...

I feel lost.

He was REALLY looking forward to meeting his first grandchild. I felt her kick for the first time tonight, before I got the call. He had been depressed since my brother died, being in the house all alone. He had said that meeting her was sometimes the only thing keeping him going.

I guess it wasn't enough.
