yesterday i dutifully made French toast as i am bound to do during a snow storm. and today i have plenty milk and bread...but i'm out of eggs! i wanna make more French toast...or maybe some waffles to go w/the left over fried chicken from this weekend. but i'd have to trek out to the store on the next block. and there's 20-something inches of snow on the ground. plus the air temp is in the single digits and the wind chill factors is below zero.

i have plenty other food in the kitchen. but i have to make something involving milk, bread and/or eggs b/c that's what ppl do during weather emergencies.

what can i do w/all of this milk and bread w/o eggs?????

1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp vanilla extract

Mix that with your milk, soak your bread and you have "french" toast

Bread and milk are pretty terrible survival foods though. I dont know why people do that.

and i don't understand why ppl rush to buy milk and bread ahead of a huge weather event either. maybe i'd understand if i had kids.
