"What 90's or 00s pop culture seems most dated to you?"
The Wire is so dated, it almost seems to be out of time. You know it's not the 90s, but it'll have you thinking "niggas dressed/talked/fucked with payphones like that in the 00s?"

They started to weave in some later real occurrences from Baltimore in seasons 4 and 5, but with the space between seasons, even then they had long since passed.
i still check out movies (and music) i missed at the time and have been curious about, and last night i finally watched (ironically) can't hardly wait. besides having actors who would go on to be a little if not much more famous and a few who as far as i know soon dropped off the face of the planet, it was full of '90s fashion, slang, stereotypes, and all of that upfront, loud, glossy, "alternative" music. sometimes i pine for the '90s, but this was not one of those times.

also, to your point, another dude drove to a payphone, and there was that whole thing with someone waiting to use it... sometimes i like that there aren't cellphones and all the other modern conveniences of today in old movies and shows because it can make the story a little more interesting and complex, but here it was just like, oh, yeah, this is the late 1990s...

was watching an episode of true life today "i'm addicted to texting" and i guess the episode was like 10 years old or so. both subjects of the show had these blackberry looking type phones (tho they weren't blackberry) and i was taken aback at how old they looked.

Like you said, even as recent as like 8-10 years ago looks so different now. I saw an old Patriots game from like 2003 last week and was like - shit. This could be from the 80s. Haha.

I was behind him line, and really though he had just woke up from a long slumber like rumplestiltskin. Dude took forever to order his food, and kept having to think hard about each decision. Plus his fingernails were like 1/2" long.

the problem with some of the clothing lines you named is that people didn't preserve them in order for them to come back in vintage shops and a lot of them as companies have folded but tommy and lo gear from that era as well as karl kani and cross colors I've seen on kids who were pretty much babies during that time. i've also seen coogi but i want to see iceberg come back just for the hell of it
although a lot of the lo that that niggas is buying through vintage vendors be big too because that's what's been saved and carried over from that era. look at joey bada$$ and them closely one of these days they be having vintage polo and tommy shit and its mad big lol
but yea its definitely way easier to find vintage polo gear that fits in comparison to the other shit
