I was at a soulfood spot recently where the radio was on, a commercial played:

cue:"MMMMMMMMHMMMMMMMMMMMM" church hymnal humming

cue: "GIRL! where are ALL the good black men?!" spoken by boisterous black woman

it was a commercial for a play about....finding a GOOD black man.

Uh...is this a real issue or some boogeyman?

Honest Job?
Educated?
Attractive?
Clean criminal record?

Shit, it's all a numbers game. 80% of women are going after that small sliver of good on paper dudes - and those fellas realize it and are playing the field while not settling for something they deem to be less than exceptional. Maybe spectrums should be broadened a bit more.
