moms and I work for the same company she works at HQ so I'd come in with her and walk to my bldg if the bridges and tunnels are still open.
Commercial asset management would need something akin to an act of God (another Sandy but the winter version) for us NOT to come in. We only got ONE day off when Sandy hit. I just got word that they are already trying to brainwash us into staying overnight if this storm is as bad as they say it will be. FUCK. THAT.

no point in being out in this weather that far from home...the studio near me is a 10 min walk at the most. (well in this weather add a little) but anything that requires me to drive or get on public transportation has to take the back seat today.

MTA/DeBlasio is seriously fucking around with this "we *MIGHT* be shutting down the system" bullshit This is seriously affecting essential employees' ability to effectively plan for this storm. This should've been decided one way or another already.

Classes being cancelled tomorrow kind of sucks for me because I was going to take a class tomorrow to make up for a class on Wednesday that I'm ALREADY ditching to attend this networking event (that I hope will be full of sexy ass men).

and I don't remember how many years back, but NYC was hit hard and Doomberg did not prepare well enough and as result, the roads were not cleared properly and some MTA trains actually got stuck on tracks with people on the trains. I'm certain DiBlasio has that in mind in terms of giving folks plenty of warning so he doesn't deal with a similar dilemma.

we have gotten softer but at the same time communication was worse then if we know whats coming we can and should prepare
